I stared at the passport in my hands.

“Hey Kara.... I think he's going to need this..”

“Nic, rack your brain.. did Jay say what time they were leaving today?!”

“Shit. I dont know..!” I reached back into the pockets and pulled out a slip of paper. I read it outloud.

“American Airlines. Flight 1693. 12pm. Shit.”

“Get in the shower.. Get dressed. Then we can go.”

I got up and tried to run to the shower. Tripping over a pile of clothes and landing hard on my hands and knees.

“Fuck” Kara burst into laughter and I joined in after the initial pain. I stood up and walked slowly into the bathroom.

“Hurry it up woman!” She ran off into her room.

It was pretty warm outside so I grabbed a sundress, my converse, and threw Jay's jacket over my shoulders. I grabbed my keys and We headed out the door. I sped down the highway at 100mph. We got to the terminal and I pulled into the departure drop off. I jumped out of the car, ignoring the people telling me I couldnt park there. It would be worth the tow. I had to see him. I ran off in the direction of American Airlines check-in with Kara closely following. Ahead of me, I could see there were girls everywhere.. At least 40 of them.

Then I saw him. His back was to me, and there was a crowd of about 10 girls standing around him. My heart started beating faster and I broke into a run.

I called out his name and his head snapped up and he looked around. I called his name again..

“Jay!”

He turned around and took a step away from the girls. He was smiling ear to ear. I jumped into his open arms and wrapped my arms around his neck.

“You forgot something.” I said matter-a-factly.  I looked into his eyes. He laughed.

“My passport.”

“Well yes, but you forgot something else too.”

“My jacket..?”

“Yes... but not what Im talking about...” He gave me a confused looked. He furrowed his brow which made me giggle and I bit my lip.

“This.” I stood on my tiptoes, with my fingers locked behind his head. I leaned in and our lips met. I felt one of his hands lock around my waist and the other rest on the side of my face.

I know that its cliché.. but I could have sworn we were the only two people in the world.

I could feel him smiling as we continued to kiss, and I know I was doing the same. We finally seperated and he pulled me into a tight hug. When we broke the hug an strightened up I turned and saw everyone looking at us. Most of the girls jaws were going to have to be scraped off the floor.. Jay, grabbing  my hand, cleared his throat, looked down at me, then back at the speechless crowd. I could hear the smile in his voice.

“So. This is Nicolette..”
