Hey there. So this is going to be co-written by my home girl fandomgirl98. And I want to give a huge thanks to my new and favourite beta-reader Ginbrat for agreeing to help out and fix my horrible grammar and plot ideas.

Alice.

“Run Alice. Never stop running!”

I shook my head to quiet the voices and tried to focus on where we were going. The paranoia was scratching at my mind. Every few steps I had to look back just to reassure myself we weren’t being followed.

We were walking in the middle of a deserted street, listening to Fun Ghoul and Jet-star bicker over how many Zombies they could take with Kobra walking between them.

I clutched the backpack that Ron and I had shared for who knows how long. I checked inside for her sketchbook but it wasn’t there. That sketchbook was like Ronnie’s only child. She was willing to risk her life over that book so I was praying to every God out there that she was the one who had it.

I kept my head down, watching my feet carry me down the cracked road. Another pair of feet joined mine.  “Nice boots.” Alice complimented.

A chuckle came from the boots. “Hello Party.” Party kicked a stone and watched it skip away. “Hello there Alice. You doing alright there?”

I looked up at him and shrugged. “Party, can I ask you a question?”  He nodded as I took a deep breath. “How come you get a party mask? What makes you so special that you get one?”

Party just looked at wondering if I was serious or not. I was dead serious. What did he do to get one? How come I can’t have one?

“Well?” I pushed. He came back from dreamland and struggled to think of an answer. “I don’t honestly know. I kind of found it.” I rolled my eyes. “Really? That’s the story you’re going with? Boring. At least lie to me and make the story exciting!”

He laughed, “Do you want me to try again?”

“No! Now I know the really story and it won’t make the new story any better. Way to be. You ruined it.”

Party kept laughing. A smile worked its way on my face.

‘Alice. Run. Hide. You can never out run them.’

I shook my head and asked, “So where are we going?” Party looked around and answered, “Dr D’s base is still another day’s walk.” He raised his voice so the other could hear him, “Maybe if someone didn’t total the car, then maybe we would be there by now!”

Ghoul turned around and flipped him off. I laughed as Party clutched his heart in mock pain. I looked around and spotted a car that was long forgotten. “Hey I have an idea.” The guys stopped walking and watched me run to the car. I searched around and under it just to make sure there wasn’t anyone hiding. I noticed a label on the driver’s side door. It was a black smiley face with the letter BLI under it.

I smiled. I waved the guys over and pointed at the label. “There must be a few Dracs hanging around.” Kobra pointed out, eyes gazed around.

I pulled on the door handle and silently cheered as it opened. “Well someone forgot to lock it. Maybe someone could very easily hotwire it and take it for a joyride.” I winked at Party and he caught on. “Who knows, maybe someone, like us, might come by and happen to see that it’s a BLI car. Maybe people like us just might need a ride.”

Grins appeared on all of our faces. Without another word we all hopped into the car with Party in the driver’s seat with me in the middle and Jet-Star beside me. Ghoul and Kobra sat in the back, happy that they got most of the leg room.
