Chapter 28

Magdalyn "Maggie" James

I was sad when the trip was over. The guys left two days ago but Nick actually paid for me and Jam to stay an extra two days so that we could have some time for the two of us to do the rest of the activities that we wanted. I was packing my things into my bag when there was a knock on the door. I went over and looked through the peephole to see Jam standing there with her bags. I opened the door and let her inside.

"You gonna make us miss our flight." She said. "Why didn't you pack your shit yesterday?" She sat down on the bed and turned to look at me.

"I'm done already," I said to her as I zipped my suitcase closed.

"Hey, is that bag over there for you?" She asked looking over at the bag on the sofa.

I shook my head. "no, Kirsnick left it behind by accident."

"Oh, so you gonna bring it to him?" she asked.

"well, I'm not just gonna leave it here."

"no need for the sassy reply." She stood up from where she was sitting and grabbed the handle on her backpack. "now come on before we're late."

Everything about the fight was normal. When we landed at home there was a car waiting to take us home. Kirsnick said that he would be by later to get the bag so I just sat it down in the corner of my room. I unpacked my bag and got comfortable after taking a shower and changing into something more comfortable. My phone started to ring, and when I picked it up I saw that it was a message from Kirsnick.

My Boy: hey I'm outside.

I got up out of my bed and grabbed the bag before running down to the front door.

"Where you going in those little ass shorts!?" He mama yelled from the kitchen.

"I'm not going anywhere. I just have to give Nick something." I said.

"give him what!?" She yelled. "you better go put some damn clothes on."

"mama im just going outsi-"

"pants!"

I ran back up to my room and slipped some sweats on over my shorts before running back down the stairs and out of the house. Kirsnick was sitting in his car right in front of my house. I got in the car and threw the bag into the backseat.

"How long are you going to be in town this time?" I asked him.

"a week I think." He replied. "Why?"

I shook my head. "you going to come back tonight?"

"huh?" He asked. "What do you mean?"

"my mom works overnight tonight so I'll have the house pretty much to myself." I said. "you should come back."

What the hell am I doing? If my mama knew I was inviting him into our house when she wasn't home she would murder me three times over. I might be grown but my mama always had a strict policy about boys in the house. Even with Cameron's friends; they were never allowed to spend the night because of Jam, me, and my little sister so he always went over to their houses.

If she knew what I was planning it would be the end of my life, but honestly, I don't really care.
