Magdalyn "Magic" James

I squeezed my eyes shut and turned my face toward the floor. I could hear groaning and shuffling but I was too scared to look up. What if he got hit and he was laying on the ground covered in blood. I sucked in deep breaths through my nose and hoped that when I lifted my head I would see him dead.

"You gotta be the worst fucking shot I ever seen." I heard Kirshnik say. I looked up to see him getting up from the floor. The guy that he had been wrestling with was laying on the ground bleeding. He missed Kirshnik and shot his own friend. "And you know what even worse. You swinging around a gun that didn't even have a full clip in it. You pulled the trigger four times and only fired twice."

Jeremy picked up the gun and pointed it at him. "You confident about that?" Jeremy asked him. He pulled the trigger and nothing happened. Kirshnik moved forward there was blood on his shirt but I couldn't tell if it was his or from the guy he was fighting.

"You ready now?" he asked Jeremy.

"For what?" Jeremy asked.

Kirshnik punched him in the mouth again. Jeremy fell back and Kirshnik didn't let up. He stood over him with punches connecting each time he threw one. I turned my face to the floor again cringing every time I heard the smack of Kirshnik's fist connect with Jeremy's face.

"Kirshnik!" I called out to him.

I glanced up at him. He was holding Jeremy by the shirt staring down at him like he wanted to kill him but he didn't move. I wanted to ask him to stop but moving my mouth was too painful. He let him go and moved over to me. He tried untying the knots around my ankles and wrists but it was too tight. He gave up and picked me up from the floor bridal style and started toward the stairs.

"Imma get you," Jeremy said through a mouthful of blood.

"Come near her again and imma fuck you up, and she won't be there to stop me either." He said.

He climbed up the stairs whispering a quiet apology to me each time I groaned in pain from him moving me. When we got outside I realized that it was night time and I have no idea where we are. Someone must have called about the gunshot because the police were pulling up right as we got outside. Kirshnik put me down on the ground slowly and put his hands up.

"Great as if I didn't have enough problems." He said.
