So there goes your first day of school. Quite a few highlights of the day. The last bell rings and students are swarming out of the school. You always stay back at school. Plus it is the last year, you need to spend more time studying, at least till 5 pm. After saying goodbye to F/n, you go to your locker to keep away all the books from last period. Then suddenly, you hear a loud banging, sounds like something or someone just hit the lockers from the hallway beside. You cautiously and slowly take a peek, while your whole body is hiding behind the wall. 'Why are the Chemical Brothers picking on Patrick?!' you thought to yourself as you are shocked by the scene in front of you. There stood the four guys, meanwhile Patrick is cowering in fear. 'Poor Patrick.' You really2 hope that you could be of a help now but who dares to mess with the creepy group of weirdos?

Till today, you never knew why they are called the Chemical Brothers. Rumors said that they formed a band with the name 'chemical something-something'. They used to be the one being bullied until one day, their leader (you guess), with the name Gerard started fending for himself – No, if you're not mistaken he was standing up for his little brother, Mikey. It was few months ago from last year, it was this epic battle you've seen so far in your life. Though you arrived late at the 'match' by the hallway, you got to see Gerard punched the school's greatest bully right on his jaw. You were amazed by how powerful the punch that it sent the guy stumbling backward. Since that incident, they became like the most feared group of people by everyone at school. You feel bad for them because to be honest, they are much better than those bullies, and of course way better than that dickhead Brendon Boyd Urie. They were just defending themselves and what do they get? Hatred from everyone. Because of that, they have been isolating themselves more. Sometimes you wish you have the guts to approach them because why not? They seem like interesting people.

Your thoughts were cut off by Gerard's voice. "Next time, you'll learn not to talk back at me!!" He hisses at Patrick before kicking Patrick's bag. Books scatter around. Whoa, you've never seen him this mad. Maybe he's not in the mood today? Poor Patrick, being the one he lets off his anger at. You watch the group left Patrick alone by the lockers. Once you are sure that the Chemical Brothers are out of sight, you quietly make your way towards Patrick. He looks like he's about to cry, but as he saw you, his facial expression changes to surprise. "Y-y/n?" You stop midway. How does he know your name? You never introduce yourself yet. But you decide to think about it later. "Hey, Patrick. You okay?" For a second, Patrick couldn't get a word out of his mouth. He seems like he's lost in your e/c eyes. He probably looks ridiculous right now so he snaps back to reality. "I uhh- umm..." but he stutters a lot. You approach him closer and when you are close enough, you crouch down beside him.

"I-I saw what happened actually. A-and I'm sorry I didn't help." You tell him truthfully. Patrick just stare at you while you start collecting his books. Then he smiles, "Don't be. At least you're helping me now." You turn to look at him to see a smiling Patrick, with that beautiful smile. So you smile back at him. Your smile means nothing but just a polite gesture of returning his. But he is smiling because he's falling for you, and there isn't any moment that he won't be smiling whenever you are around. For now, you are still oblivious to this. After you're done picking up his books, you give them to him and decide to go. "Here. Just... be more careful after this okay? And bear in mind not to mess with them again, got it?" You said. Patrick nods his head, the smile not leaving his face. Then you turn around and make your way back to your locker while Patrick just stands there. "I think I'm in love." He whispers to himself.
