Eyes on You

Chapter 5

Things have been going normal. You've been spending your school days just like any other student should. Except for one thing. At first, you thought they were coincidences to always bump into Patrick every single day. But lately you seem to catch Patrick stealing glances of you. You don't want to think about it too much but when F/n notices that as well, you can't help it but to feel uncomfortable. Sure Patrick is quite adorable and looks so innocent, but are you feeling the same for him? You can't simply return his feelings when you don't even feel nothing more than friend with him. It's not fair for his heart to be broken. But it is also not fair for you to keep on living like this! I mean, who can keep it cool, knowing you have some sort of creepy stalker. Damn it, you didn't mean to call him creepy but you don't know much bout him; considering that you and Patrick only share the same English class.

"Y/n, he's looking at you again! Look on your right." F/n nudges you while whispering. You are currently not in the mood so you ignore her. Ever since you tell F/n bout this, she's making a big fuss. Luckily, you made her promise to keep it just between you two. Despite her slightly annoying attitude sometimes, she's a good friend and you can always count on her. Up till today, she's been keeping it good and has never broken the promise yet. "Y/nnnnn... Come on. Look to your right!" She keeps bothering your lunch. "F/n I can't make it obvious! You want us to make eye contacts?!" You snap at your friend, whispering but in an angry tone. "Urgghhh, fine." F/n turns back to her lunch. You did the same as well, picking up the sandwich that you had put back on your plate so that it won't fall apart when F/n was bothering you before.

Today, you are just having lunch with F/n. It always happens and it's normal, since your other friends have errands to run and stuff. If it's not your friends, then it is you, and vice versa. F/n is still finishing her meal while you are waiting, and unintentionally turn your head around just to look at your surrounding randomly. And that's when you notice Patrick, still looking at you. 'Crap' you curse to yourself for being careless and totally forgot that he's there. But since you guys have made eye contacts, it is rude if you don't smile or something, so you slightly wave at him. Patrick's eyes widen suddenly and sheepishly wave back at you, a bit eager.

F/n stops chewing to look at you, then Patrick,then you again. She swallows whatever left in her mouth and wave at Patrick as well, with the same enthusiasm as Patrick. This make you turn your head to look at F/n with an eyebrow raised. "What? You can be polite but I can't??" says F/n, squinting her eyes at you a bit with a playful pout. You giggle at your friend, then say "Whatever. We should get going." With that, you and F/n put away all the stuff and start making your way to the lockers.
