After the shocking news, and the incident of you crying alone in the school washroom, you've come to learn that things are back to before - you being a target of bully for some of the school's popular people. Well, guess it's not that hard since you've been there before, right? Though you do need to be stronger as you can sense that it will go worse this time. F/n can sense something's wrong about you but make no big deal about it. She knows that you might need some time to think about the whole Brendon-and-Sarah-getting-back thing. But Patrick, he still thinks that you and Brendon are a thing. Guess he hasn't heard of the news.

One day, the bell rings after English class. For some reason, F/n isn't in the class as she was needed by some teacher for their society's stuff. So she's excused for that period. But you and Patrick have promised to meet her somewhere after class before the three of you move to probably go hangout somewhere together. Patrick approaches you by your desk, "Ready?" You put the last book into your bag. "Ready." Then smile at Patrick. So the two of you walk out of the class together, chat about anything randomly.

You and Patrick stand by the rows of lockers while waiting for F/n. You are putting away some stuff into your locker while listening to Patrick complaining about being paired with this dude for their science project and the guy not helping at all. But suddenly Patrick stops talking, before he changes the subject. "Hey Y/n, isn't that Brendon?" You stop doing whatever you're doing and slam shut your locker to look at where Patrick's pointing. Your eyes scan everywhere and finally land on Brendon; and Sarah. "Why is she with that girl?" You ignore Patrick's question as you freeze on your spot, seeing Brendon's arm around Sarah and them being extra cuddly in front of the public.

Suddenly, Sarah leans closer and gives Brendon a peck on the lips. You can hear Patrick gasps in shock, but you are feeling something more - broken hearted. Ignoring everything around, you turn around and walk past Patrick at a fast pace. "Y/n??" You continue walking, faster, despite Patrick calling on you. "Y/n!" You turn around a corner and realize that you're heading towards the store - the store that once gave you a sweet memory of Brendon. You finally break down to tears as you see it and go inside. You aren't even bother to flick the switch on. You just enter the room, sit down somewhere, and cry your eyes out.

Wow, you didn't expect to be this broken hearted, but still you are. You sobs, sometimes wipe your cheeks, as the memories of you and Brendon playing around your mind; and then there's Sarah. How can you stop crying?? Your thoughts are interrupted by the door of the store being open slowly, with a slight squeaky sound. "Y/n?" It's Patrick. You look at him with teary eyes. As Patrick's eyes fall on your figure, he couldn't help himself to feel sympathy at your fragile self now. He switches on the light, then quickly yet delicately approaches you, "Hey, I'm very sorry you have to see that." You keep quiet, your mind is thinking of something.

"Patrick, I wanna say sorry too. There's something you need to know." Patrick raises an eyebrow, then sits next to you. "W-we actually...kinda...made a deal." Patrick listens to you attentively. So, you finally decide to be real with him. He's your best friend's boyfriend now, and Patrick has also considered you as his best friend. Nothing more than that anymore. That's why you feel comfortable to talk about this with him. You are glad actually that there's nothing tense between you two, even after all the small crush he used to have on you. God even granted you a new best friend who's really supportive.

Both of you spend a few minutes in there, you telling him about everything while Patrick being very understanding. And now, here comes the part, "...and to tell you the truth, I-I actually kinda have developed a small c-crush on him." Patrick seems surprised a bit, but then nod, indicating that he understood. "I-I know that it actually started off as just a deal, and friends helping each other. B-but I can't help myself from falling for him, day by day. And...that's why I'm so broken hearted." You start to cry again. Patrick shushes you, then he moves to give you a friendly hug. You are really thankful that he's there for you now. You never thought that the person who was once your 'stalker' would be the first person you told about this. "But, I know that he never feels the same way towards me. This feeling is one-sided." You whisper to Patrick as he continues hugging you, giving comfort.
