                                                            BLUE

"Mom, do we really have to move again? I swear I didn't tell her anything maybe she just guessed. Mo-"

"Oh shut up Blue, you knew how important that was to us. You're dad is out there trying to help us and you go blowing it up to your so called 'best friend.' This time who knows what would happen next! You don't know how dangerous our situation is?!" My mom shouted.

I knew she was trying to protect us and those stuff but I could handle myself and I won't just screw up things by telling the secret when I love my friend Jesse. It was our fifteenth time moving. Something I hadn't gotten used to yet. Jesse was my longest friend. We spent almost a year here, but we had to move again.

"Mom just a chance. I'm really sorry, but I didn't tell her. You need to trust me." She ignored me this time and I knew I couldn't convince her any longer. Anytime I tried to get close to anyone, my mom would say that I'll tell the person our secret. But I never did. Ever!

I called Jesse to tell her the bad news and I was sad when I lied to her about moving because of mom got a new job. 'Oh Lord'I thought to myself. Life has really been cruel to me, I just didn't know what next would happen. They'll find us? Toture us? What could be worse?

I thought of the school I would be enrolled to and asked, "Mom, I'd be able to go to school there, right?" I asked breaking the silence in the car.

"Of course, I found a school. St Elmore's," she said.

"Sounds so boring, How would I live there? "

"Well, you have to."

We didn't talk anymore throughout the ride. The only sounds were from the engine and the radio. It took about five hours before she stopped at a house. It looked really nice outside. It was bigger than the one at 'home' but I miss home already.

"Well, here we are. Your dad got some allowance from the family treasury and decided to get us a more convenient place," mom said looking at me for the first time since we left. I showed her my sad face and she let out a heavy sigh.

"Look, Blue, You may not be happy we're moving, just take this as a vacation, you know? Or something else. But most importantly, do it for me. For all of us. The family especially."

Oh not the inspirational talk again, I thought to myself. But mom was right though. I saw the pain in her eyes too, she really wanted the best for me. For us. Our family had gone through a lot already.

"Okay mom, just for you," I said with the brightest smile ever. I love my mom so much cause she understands. Well.. She can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but she acts like a teenager when she's with family and friends.

I walked inside the house and it was actually huge. Our boxes were already in. I walked towards the kitchen, the balcony, my mom's room, the extra room (Incase we had a visitor or a younger sibling, for me). Then I entered my room which was bigger than the one at home. It was painted my best colour, mauve. I guessed staying might actually not be bad, after all.

I unpacked my boxes, and places the few pictures of dad, mom and I, I could take, and I placed it on the walls. My family would have been bigger if not for them.

But dad's working on something. He'll face them for sure. He'll be my hero, he'll be there for- and  I slept off.

Though it's extremely short, I'm so sorry cause this is my first book. I'll still have to edit it. It's a promise.

Thanks for reading this.
