Chapter 12

Lacey's POV

"What do you mean Belles dead!" Chloe screams

"She went to stay a few days with her sister and her sister went shopping and when she came back Belle was sitting on the couch just ... dead" Niall cried

By now I was full on sobbing and Zayn had to take Chloe out of the room so she could calm down

"Do you know how she .. you know, died?" Liam asked slowly

"No idea. They haven't gotten the results from the autopsy yet." Niall said tears still streaming down his face

"I can't believe this.." I breathed

"I just bought a ring." Niall said quietly

"What?" I ask

"I just bought an engagement ring. I was going to propose this weekend when she came home."

"Oh my god" Chloe said hiding her face in Zayns neck

Harry came next to me and wrapped his arms around me,

"It's gonna be okay." he whispered in my ear

"I really hope so." I sighed leaning into Harry

-5 days later at Belles funeral-

We we're all dressed in black, standing next to one another trying not to break down.

After the pastor said a few things the pianist played Amazing Grace and Niall went up to say a few things about Belle.

Niall stood tall on the podium and used his jacket sleeve to wipe his tears as he pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket,

"I'm Niall," he started

"Isabelle was the love of my life, my best friend, the mother of our unborn child, she was my everything. I would give anything to be with her and our baby one more time." he said choking up

"Belle made me a better person, I had great plans for us." he said pausing and reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small black box.

He slowly walked down to the open casket and opened the box to reveal a beautiful engagement ring and he placed it in the box with her.

"I'll love you forever." he whispered before turning and sitting back in his seat

By now everyone was full on sobbing and Chloe had to walk out with Jen because Jen was getting too upset and began to have a panic attack.

After the funeral we all shook hands with Belles family and I was the first to reach Niall to give him a hug.

"Niall your speech was beautiful and the ring was amazing, Belle would have loved it." I said into Nialls chest

I felt him smile against my head

"Thank you, Lacey, that means alot." he said holding me tighter

By the time we all arrived home we were exhausted.

Thankfully Chloe was willing to go and pick Darcy up from Anne's so I could have a little while to myself to think a bit.

After a little while of sitting at the end of mine and Harry's bed the bedroom door creaked open and Harry stepped inside closing the door behind him and sitting beside me.

"You know things will get better, right?" He whispered to me

"Yeah I know" I smile

By the time Chloe got back with Darcy it was already 8PM

I fed Darcy quickly and put her to bed.

"Lace, we need to talk." Chloe said walking into the bedroom

"What's up?"

Chloe sat by me and smiled a wide yet somehow sad smile. I know something is up.

"I possibly got a job." she smiles

"Oh my god, Chloe! Thats amazing!" I yell wrapping my arms around my best friend

"Yeah! Zayn talked to this guy who works with this director guy and I'm a producer for music videos now." she smiles

"That's great!"

"But there's a downside.." she says

"What?" I ask slowly

"In order to do this job I will be moving." she said quickly

"What?" I ask shocked at the thought of Chloe leaving

"Yeah.. New York City." she says

My mouth hangs agape staring at her shocked

"W-when do you move??" I ask

She holds her breathe and then answers

"In a week."

"A week! Your moving to New York in a fucking week!!" I yell

"Yeah" she winces at my loudness

"What about Zayn?!"

"He's staying here for the band."

"What about me?"

"I will only be gone for a few weeks Lacey."

"How many weeks?" I question

"7 or 8, not that long." She smiles

I frown, not because I'm not happy for her but because I don't want her to leave.

"I could never be away from you for too long Lacey." she smiles

"I know, you'd miss me too much." I smile

*6 weeks later*

Lacey's POV (still lol)

I was woken up by my phone ringing.

It's Chloe.

She's been in NY for 6 weeks now and I'm missing her like crazy.

I hurriedly rush to answer the phone

"Hello?" I speak

"Lacey, hey! I have a problem.." Chloe speaks into the phone

"What's wrong, you ok?" I ask

"Umm yeah but, I went out partying last weekend and got wasted and I slept with somebody else." She cries

"Oh my god" I breathe

Chloe cheated on Zayn. wow.

"I'm a horrible person." she cries

"No your not, you made a mistake, Zayn will understand." I say

"No Lacey you don't understand. I slept with Luke!" she yelled

"Luke? As in Luke Hemmings!" I ask/yell trying not to wake the sleeping Harry beside me

"Yes" she sobs

I am at loss for words

"So you cheated on Zayn with Luke while you were drunk in New York." I say trying to process everything

"Yes and Lacey.."

"Yeah?"

"I-I think I'm pregnant."
