Chapter 65

     We were off again while I was this time in the back of the group to keep the bandits from getting to these mutants. I was feeling the same as always not worried at all if this Maximus found us.
    But once I saw then stopping I stopped and looked confused till I heard Karai yelling my name. " Mona! Come see this!"
    I got off my motorcycle and started to the front but too soon see what looked like a tree that's had a few green leafs. I then started to run over and look at the tree as my eyes widened. " But the mutagen bomb destroyed everything..."
     "I guess not... Which way should we go?" Karai asked as she stood to me as Michelangelo came over looking closer to the tree touching it as Chompy was on his shoulder.
     I looked to the left then the right as I saw the two paths but I didn't know which way as I looked at the tree. " I'm not sure..."
    " Left. " we both looked up seeing that it was Michelangelo said as I spoke. " Left?"
    " Yeah, I feel we should go left, " he said as I and Karai looked at each other then we looked to Michelangelo smiling as I nid my head and Karai told him. " Left we go then. "
    So we started to get back to our rides but Michelangelo said to be coming to my motorcycle. "Let's go to the front. "
   He got behind me as I then started to get to the front of the group and went left as we rode on. It at first was just showing wide opening too soon we entered an area where hills were on each of our sides as I looked around making sure no one would attack us from the top.
    Michelangelo was then standing up as Chompy went off him and to my shoulder as Chompy made his noise again. I looked ahead as I gripped my hands harder on the handles as I tried to focus on driving.
    The ground was turned to what seemed like a glowing green as I looked to the ground confused as I started to feel as if I was getting to a safe place. Then while the road shows a sharp right turn so I got my arm up signaling them all to turn right hard.
    We got to the spot as I felt Michelangelo hold me right as I got a foot on the ground to keep my motorcycle up as I made the sharp turn. We then headed for about fifteen minutes as then we went into a cave as it was at first dark.
    When we started to lose sight in the cave then I first thought I saw something glow on the surface of the cave. But everyone turned on their lights as I said. " Turn the lights off!"
   When they all did I then saw as well as others as blueish green worms were flowing as I looked then ahead. " They are the path... We have to follow the glowing worms!"
    As I said that I then went faster while I kept looking at the ground making sure I would not hit big rocks or get stuck in a hole. I didn't know what to think other than making sure it was safe ahead as I got to what looks like an exit as the light was starting to show.
    But once we where agreeing closer to the light I felt that we were heading up this time as she started to get out of the cave but stopped while looking in shock a si saw brass on the ground instead if dirt. ' What!'
    Michelangelo got off and went over to run off as I too got off my motorcycle and walked to an upper hill as I came on it and looked to see the place filled with trees and a big lake with water.
    " We should give this place a name!" Michelangelo said as he smiled at us as he turned. I came over as I sat done and looked at the place. " Then what should we call this place?"
    Karai came to us and looked at the new view of what we thought was completely gone as I said. " Oasis."
    " Great name Mona! " he said giving me a thumbs up but then I got up and looked at every one. " Let's find a spot here and make our home. "
    They all agreed as we got back on our vehicles and started to ride in the first where there were life and water as well as animals to cook. ' finely we are in a safe place...'

    After a week of being in the Oasis, we picked a spot a few miles away from the big lake as I was up and putting together some woods to make homes using the rope we had. The kids were running around playing and laughing as the adults were making our what Karai said was a Village.
     When I was done I jumped off and I said to Karai. " I'll go get some more water!"
    I then went to grab these bent wood that has hooks at the ends to put buckets on as I got one over my shoulder and headed off. I walked alone and listened to the birds making noise while that made me smile and close my eyes.
    But I soon felt something to my feet so I opened my eyes and liked done to see Chompy there as he smiled at me. So I bent down and grabbed Chompy putting him on one of the two buckets as I walked on talking to him. " Raphael would love this place wouldn't he Chompy?"
    He just made his cry making me chuckled then my eyes went up to the sky seeing it blue instead of looking they the dirt that would fly around the dirt land.
