Chapter 66

    When we got to the water Chompy got out of the bucket and went to the water drinking as I at first walked over placing my feet in the water and looked ahead as I saw the cemented area as it was tilling out of the walls of dirt. I then started to get on my knees and placed a hand on the waters ground as I looked at my reflections. " It's time chompy..."
   I then looked at him as he too looked at me. " I have to stop believing that Raphael is alive... He is gone and I... I wish I could prevent that..."
    Chompy only looked at her and made his cry but this time low as I smiled at him and whipped my eyes as I stood up getting my clothes off. I then dived into the water as I swam under the water looking around at how the water can make things beautiful.

   When I was getting back with Chompy I saw every one grounded around by Michelangelo as I placed the buckets done and went over with Chompy on my shoulder. Karai was at the end of the group as she looked not too thrilled. " What's going on Karai?"
    She looked at me then said sadly looking back to Michelangelo. " Mikey is leaving... He feels like he needs to go back to the wasteland and let others know that he can trust to come here..."
    " But... " I ran over to Michelangelo as I said to him. " You can't go... Michelangelo, please... We lost your brothers... Karai and I can't lose you too..." I said trying to hold my tears as he looked at me and smiled. " Mona it will be alright I will be back someday. I promise. "
    As he said that to me he grabbed my hands as I closed my eyes hard and tears then came done my face as I went to him and hugged him. " Please... Karai and I will be waiting for your return."
    He smiled and nods his head as then Chompy starts crying out as I looked at him and grabbed him in my arms as I smiled. " Compy keep Michelangelo happy and protected. "
    He seemed happy as I then handed Chompy to Michelangelo. " Mona are you sure?"
    I nod my head as I said whipping my eye. " Raphael would want him with his brother... Be safe. "
    " We will." he then grabbed a back of food and water as he walked off waving bye.
    But Karai and I sat there watching him leave while she spoke to break the silents. " He will be fine Mona."
    " I know... I just wanted to protect Raphael's family for him..."I then got my arms around my legs as I soon then hid my face in my knees with Karai there comforting me.

    Fourteen years have passed while the kids were coming young adults while also the village was in great shape. Today we were having a party of the celebration of finding this place.
    I was around the huge fire that we would light in the center of the village for when special moments happen like births of a baby, once peaceful passing and to celebrate the year of our stay here with no fighting to survive.
    I and Karai were dancing around the fire smiling and laughing. I was feeling so much better these few years as I was finally accepting that Raphael was up in the stars happy and at peace, I have never fallen for another man but I was okay being alone since I would not want to lose someone I loved.
    When I got done dancing I went over to sit as I breathed hard happy to this day while I then watched everyone dance happily as well as loved one together.
     I was mainly the lookout to make sure no one or a big animal from attacking the village. But I was okay with that while I then started to get up and went to get on my lookout wooden building as I then sat there looking around since there were no walls but just a ceiling and a floor.
    Tonight the wind felt very lightly around us keeping our fire from getting blown around. I laid dine and got my arms under my head with closed eyes feeling a little tired.

    After it felt like a few minutes I then opened my eyes to see that the sun was coming up while I turn went into a sitting position. I attached with my arms up in the air as I made a slight attaching noise. ' Morning already... It only felt like I was asleep for a few minutes...'
    When I started to stand up I was soon seeing what seemed like moving trees as I went to the edge to see if I could see better. But it was not good as I went over the other side and started to climb down to the few villagers that were up.
    I ran over to one and said before running to where I saw the trees move. " Wake up Karai! We might have some unwanted guests!"
     The mutant nod his head and ran to get Karai as I was already in the woods. I always prefer to be alone when checking things since I would only have to focus on me and no one else lives.
     But while I was getting closer I felt more like hope. Hoping it was Michelangelo as he would be alive and well with Chompy.
