What’s The Point?
Chapter 20”
“Come on, Tony! We gotta go!” Gibbs called to Tony. Today was the first time that Tony would be going back to work in a few weeks. Gibbs had gone in a couple of times to help with other teams. This was also the first time they were going to see McGee and Ziva since the whole thing had started.
“Yeah! One minute! I’m coming!” Tony yelled back from the bathroom.
Tony’s POV
“He probably thinks I’m doing my hair.” I thought to myself. I grab some paper towels and press them to my most recent cuts on my stomach. Dad doesn’t know it, but since the whole truck thing, I’ve been cutting my stomach and chest daily. Dad…I still find it strange ti be calling Gibbs that. I mean, at work, he will forever be my boss. After 11years of calling him ‘boss’, it’s just taking a while of getting used to. I flush the towels down the toilet and take a calming breath, before leaving the bathroom to make my way downstairs.
Normal POV
Gibbs heard the toilet flush and the bathroom door open. Tony appeared beside him a few moments later, wringing his hands together nervously.
“It’s gonna be fine, Tony.” Gibbs told him. Tony nodded slowly.
“I…I hope so…” he said quietly.

When Tony and Gibbs walked into the office, McGee and Ziva were already there. Gibbs noticed Tony pulling at his sleeves. He put his hand on Tony’s back soothingly, before taking it away a few moments later.
“Agents McGee, David.” Gibbs said gruffly, walking towards his desk. He wasn’t exactly in the best of moods. He still hadn’t found who wrote the note and who had ‘re-painted’ his truck. The two other agents looked up.
“Morning, Gibbs! Morning, Tony!” They greeted, a bit too cherry for Gibbs’ liking. Understandably, Tony ignored both of them. McGee – seeming to understand – went back to checking his e-mails, which had piled up over the past few weeks. Ziva, on the other hand, though Tony was being rude to them for no reason. She walked slowly to his desk.
“We said good-morning, Tony.” She told him. He didn’t even look up. This just mad Ziva angrier. She banged her fist against the desk. Tony startled badly, and looked up.
“Can I help you, Agent David?” he asked coldly.
“What is wrong with you today?” she asked menacingly.
“Nothing, Agent David. Until we get a call saying a marine has died, everything is perfectly fine…with me anyway.” He stated, his voice void of any emotion, before going back to messaging Abby through MSN. Ziva hmphed, and stalked back to her desk, thinking that Tony was taking this whole thing two far.

When it came to 1700, the MCRT hadn’t caught a case, so they got to head home early. Tony had only spoken to Gibbs, Abby, Jimmy and Ducky that day, just ignoring everybody else. McGee seemed to understand why Tony wasn’t talking to Ziva or himself, so he only spoke when spoken to. Ziva had tried to make conversation with him and when he didn’t answer her, she would get mad. Ziva stalked to the elevator when Gibbs told them they could leave without a second glance. McGee followed a few short moments afterwards, but in a more dignified fashion.
“Night, boss.” He said. “Night, Tony.” He said more quietly. As soon as McGee had joined Ziva in the elevator, and the doors and closed, Tony thumped his head on his desk, as well as slapping a hand to his stomach (only just managing to hide his wince).
“That was a lot harder than I thought it would be, dad.” He mumbled quietly. “And something doesn’t feel right…” he said, rubbing his stomach gently.
In elevator with McGee and Ziva
Ziva pressed the emergency stop button as soon as the start started moving, and turned to face McGee.
“Why are you acting as if you are a timid probie again?!” she shouted at him. He didn’t seem fazed.
“I thought this is what we agreed, to stop them from asking suspicious?” he asked.
“Yes, but, you have barely spoken two words all day!”
“I’m acting, Ziva. Just like you told me too.” McGee told her. She growled dangerously, before starting up the cart again.
“Fine, but, if Gibbs finds out what we did, I am blaming it all on you.”
