My Love
I have a love I cant escape,
A love that's not mine in any shape,
I lack the strength to forget,
I close my eyes and remember; yet
I don't have the strength to deny
That what I say is not a lie.
You're not mine so I cant tell you how much
I want your hand to clutch.
What lengths do I have to go,
What a surprise you still don't know;
Lacking intelligence made me see it to late
The loneliness must be my fate.
What will I become? I cant say,
I'm still only going day to day;
I can mold myself to fit in
To be friendly and wear make up on my skin.
What you want in me I can reflect
Even if it means to lose my self-respect.
Nobody will be nicer than I,
No one else will believe every lie,
I can be just as good as who
I want to be, it will take time that's true
But I'll be what you want from me
And then you may finally see
I can smile, and stand at your side,
But I know the feelings I have I must hide,
For you don't feel the way I do
And how I feel you don't have a clue.
You see I'm stuck, and it has the key,
The love, that symbolizes me.

PoetryThis is a collection of poems that I have made through the past few years. Most of them are sad, and are personal. I would love any feedback you'd like to give. I'm trying to stick to writing, but I might not always update. I hope you enjoy my poems!
