Goodbye to an Old Friend
You smile and my heart flies,
But then you kill me with your lies,
Your mind changes,
And I have to apply the bandages.
If you want to leave
Then please stop so I don't believe.
Why be my friend,
If you only hurt me in the end?
I tried to keep it going,
But instead ended up owing.
Your actions speak so loud,
Your energy like a dark cloud.
If this is the end,
Then I say goodbye to an old friend.
