Chapter 8 - The School of Hard Knocks

Ash and his friends are at the Pokemon center figuring out where their next destination awaits.

"Hey Ash how about Vermillion City?" Brock says. "Oh great! Does it have a gym there as well?" Ash says curiously. "Yea it does Ash so how about it?" "Sure!" "Misty are you okay with it as well?" Ash says. "Sure!" Misty replies.

Ash and his friends adventure to Vermillion City as their next destination awaits.

Ash and his friends stop by a School that was unfamiliar to Ash, but not for his friends. "Hey what is this school doing here?" Ash asked curiously. "I believe it is a tech school that is for students that want to participate in a league by graduating from there..." "Oh okay... You guys wanna check it out?" "S-sure! I wanna find all the ladies in there!" Brock says as he rushes in. Misty follows to stop Brock from disturbing any women. "Wait! Hold up Brock!" Ash says as he rushes in as well.

Ash arrived in the school looking for Brock. He comes across one of the students, and asks him where his friends are. He approaches the kid, but sees a scene happening. "Hey kid!" The student 3 says. "You better back off, this group doesn't want to see you around here you weakling." Student 3 says bullying him. "Hey don't bother hurting his feelings it will only waste your time." Student 2 says shrugging at the same time. "Yea, he's pathetic like that other guy who's been here for a couple of years." Student 1 says. "Yea let's get out of here and you better not come along as well." Student 4 says giving him the cold shoulder. They left the student alone as Ash walked up to him to comfort him and ask questions.

"Hey!" Ash approached him. "Stop! I had enough of this bullying!" The student said. "Oh sorry I wasn't here to bully you I wanted to ask who were those guys who bullied you?" "Oh they were the infamous text students." "So what does that mean?" "It means they are infamous for their insanely smart brain of theirs." "Why were they bullying you?" "Well it is because I am in a beginner's class and they were simply better than me so they believe it was best for me to leave their class." "Hey it's okay I will teach them a lesson." Ash says as he crunches his knuckles. "You don't mean hurt them right?" "Well no, but have a Pokemon battle yes. Can you tell me the Student in charge?" "Yea her name is Giselle, she is the prettiest girl in the class." "Oh okay I will simply just ask her if she wants a battle." "You sure about that? She is the strongest in the school." "Oh strong eh? Then that makes me want to battle her even more!" Ash says Excited for the match.

Ash regrouped with his friends to meet a school principal. "Hey! No trespassing on school grounds!" The principal said angry. "We're sorry! We didn't mean to!" "Well fine if you want to join in as guests be my guest, but ask me next time!" "Yes sir!" Ash and his friends said together. "C'mon Ash let's get out of here." "Brock wait outside, I got some unfinished business to do." Ash says as he approaches the Principal leaving Brock confused. "I want to find a girl in this school named Giselle please." Ash says. "Oh her... Well she is busy right now, but if you want to see her then head to that classroom over there." He says pointing towards the Battling class. "Thank you." Ash says leaving his friends confused to who this girl is. Misty was shocked to hear that Ash could be on a date with her so she ran towards where Ash is going as well.

Ash arrived in the battling class as he hears battling going on, he walks in to see a student battling against another student a girl was a referee. "C'mon Politoed!" Student 1 says. "It's useless your Politoed isn't a match against my Weepinbell." Student 2 says super confident. "Never get too confident!" Student 1 says as he makes a comeback. "Politoed! Use Ice Beam!" Politoed used Ice Beam and landed a direct hit on Weepinbell causing it to faint while being turned into ice. "Weepinbell is unable to battle! Politoed is the winner!" The girl says as she sighs. She gets off the platform to see the student who lost and scolds him for his lost. "How could you lose?! Don't be too Confident it gives you the disadvantage." She says angry. "Hey!" Ash confronts the girl. "Are you Giselle?" Ash says in a handsome way. "Huh and who are you?" "My name is Ash Ketchum and I want to battle you!" Ash says making everyone in the Battling class gasps knowing this kid made a mistake. "Okay fine, only if you are strong as everyone around here is." She says as a smirk appears on her face. "Oh I am alright I got gym badges to prove it, also I am a guest here." Ash says. "A guest eh?" Giselle says looking at Ash and his body parts noticing that he had muscles under everything he wore. "My type of guy." Giselle thought to herself. Ash reads her mind and doesn't understand what she means. "Are you going to accept or not?" "Of course I am gonna accept, but is that your girlfriend over there?" She says as she points behind her. "Huh?" Ash says seeing Misty looking through the doorway. "U-uh!" Misty says as she was caught. "Oh Misty? She is a guest too." Ash says. "Hmm Misty..." She says walking towards her. "Is he your boyfriend?" She whispers to Misty's ear. "U-uh no!" She replies blushing. "Heh he's mine now." Giselle whispers leaving Misty to realize what she mean and now getting angry. "Hey come back here!" Misty says as she was stopped by Ash. "Huh?" Misty says confused. "Don't worry I got this." Ash says confidently as he walks over to the battlefield. "Hey Giselle do you know that a kid was bullied for being weak." Ash asks. "Oh I know he kinda deserved it." She replied leaving Ash angry. "You know I hate those kinds of people that picks on weaklings." Ash says. "Oh my what a naughty boy getting so worked up." "Whatever let's start this battle."

A student participates as a referee, Ash knowing who this kid was. "Don't worry I got this." Ash says confidently. "Trainers please send out your Pokemon! This will be a 1 on 1 Pokemon battle." "I choose you Cubone!" Giselle says. "Huh Cubone." Ash thought to himself as he pulls out a Pokedex.

Cubone The Lonely Pokemon a Ground Type - Because it never removes it's skull helmet, no one has ever seen this Pokemon's real face.

"Hmm... You up for it buddy?" Ash says to Pikachu. "Pika (You sure?)" "Sure I am sure!" Ash says confidently "Hey let's show them that type disadvantage doesn't matter right!" Ash whispers to Pikachu. "Pika! (Right!)"

"I choose you! Pikachu!" Ash says leaving everyone in the class Confused and laughing at the same time except the referee. "What a dummy who uses electric type to go against a ground type?" Ash hears a student say and ignores him. "Wow you don't really know about types huh?" Giselle says leaving Ash not mad, but smirking because he knew his plan has taken a step. "Overconfidence takes over and you might lose right Giselle?" Ash says. Giselle completely ignores Ash.

"Battle! Begin!" Referee shouts. "Let's end this with bonemerang." Giselle says not giving her best shot. "Dodge Pikachu. Then use Quick Attack." Ash says as Pikachu follows. Pikachu ran around Cubone to dodge Cubones Bonemerang, then ran around Cubone to confuse it. Cubone focusing on Pikachu to attack forgetting that Bonemerang comes back. Cubone sees the attack come towards him and took the hit in the face not able to catch the bone, then comboed by taking a Quick Attack in the stomach, launching Cubone into the wall. "Oh no!" Giselle says as her Cubone was knocked out cold. "It looks like you got too overconfident Giselle." Ash says as she was shocked at what happened. "Woah look at that." "Who knew a twerp like him to beat Giselle's Pokemon that fast?" "Looks like Giselle isn't that tough to me" Ash hears a student in the crowd say. "Quiet all of you." Ash says to the entire class. "Don't worry losing is important to a trainer." Ash says comforting Giselle. "It helps you learn from what you lost to." Ash says comforting Giselle. "Yea maybe" She says. "Thank you I feel better." Giselle says as she was on the floor. She returned Cubone in her Pokeball. "Huh?" Giselle notices that Ash isn't returning his Pokemon. "Why are you not returning your Pokemon?" Giselle questions Ash. "Well you see my Pikachu doesn't like to be in its Pokeball, so I let him sit on my shoulders." Ash answers her questions. "That's cool!" Giselle says, everyone in the class agrees. "Wow Ash I never thought you were that strong." The student that was a refereeing the battle said. "Hey I never said I was that strong!" Ash says. "Hey Ash wanna go on a date sometime?" Giselle asks Ash shocking everyone in the classroom mostly Misty. "Huh? Maybe, but I gotta go so maybe later?" Ash says nervous not wanting to join the school. "No how about now? Huh?" Giselle says, as Ash left the room already with Misty. She peeks out of the room seeing Ash carry Misty away with him bridal style, "Aw man I want to be carried like that!" Giselle thought to herself as she was biting her nails, mad.

Ash arrives back with Brock outside. "Hey Ash don't tell me your unfinished business was beating up kids." "Well no Brock more like beating the bullies to show them who to not mess with." "Oh okay. What did they do to you?" "Nah not me, but to a student." "Oh okay... So this Giselle girl is she beautiful?" Brock asked wanting to know more. "Well she did have beautiful hair." Misty hearing this was insanely jealous. Brock hearing this wanted to know more. "What did she look like?" "She looked cute I guess?" Ash said making Misty Jealous as he walks to their destination. "OW! OW! OW!" Ash said as his ear was getting pulled, "Stop talking about her!" Misty says as she was hurting Ash. Ash let go of Misty as she looks away in anger. "hmpf!" Misty says grumpy. Brock feels relieved that his ear hasn't been pulled, but Ash's ear did. "Whew." Brock sighs in relief.
