Chapter 15 - My New Nemesis

Ash and his friends arrived at their stop at a nearby Beach. "Well! That was a fun trip right?" Ash says getting off the St. Anne. "Yea! That was great!" Brock says bringing a few bags he bought in the store in the St. Anne. "I loved their pool! Gotta try it out next time!" Misty says. "Well then Brock where are we?" Ash says. "Huh... We are getting pretty close to our next stop of Celadon City, we should head over..." Brock says. "Hey you there Trainer!" Someone says approaching Ash. "Huh?" Ash says turning around. "Oh hello there! My name is..." Ash says, but was interrupted. "Don't ask I know.!" ??? says in an angry tone. "Can you please ask me your name." Ash says politely. "My name is Cross now tell me..." Cross says with more anger. "Hey! Back off what do you want!" Misty says. "Hey Misty it's okay I got this." Ash says. "Is there a problem here Cross?" Ash says to Cross. "Yes the problem is you! How did you obtain the Rainbow Wing!" Cross says angry. Brock seemingly looked into his tour guide book through Kanto region to find out what the Rainbow Wing is. "What's the Rainbow Wing?" Ash says. "The feather you had!" Cross says. "Oh that?" Ash says pulling out the Rainbow Wing. "Yes that... You know what it means when you have that?" Cross says. "Uh... No?" Ash says. "Oh! It's right here!" Brock interrupts their conservation. "Look here Ash!" Brock says as Ash was looking over. "It says that a myth in ancient history, a few trainers that began their journey will see a Pokemon fly above them with a rainbow. Sometimes the Pokemon will drop a Rainbow Wing to the Trainer it likes, the trainer that has the Rainbow Wing would be called the Rainbow Hero. He/She would use the Rainbow Wing to get to Ho-oh. Anyone that holds the Rainbow Wing except the person that received the Rainbow Wing, will wither the color of the Rainbow Wing." Brock says reading the myth. "Woah! Rainbow Hero?" Ash says not understanding what Brock meant. "Grr..." Cross growls. "Huh so you want to be a Rainbow Hero. Sorry there Cross you can't have it, but you can come with us to find out where Ho-oh is." Ash says. "Hmm..." Cross says thinking. "Also once the Rainbow Hero finds Ho-oh, Ho-oh will grant one wish to the hero." Brock also says. "Any wish huh..." Ash says. "I would love to battle against Ho-oh!" Ash says. "Not so fast! I... I want to battle against Ho-oh too!" Cross says. "Hmm... I might consider it." Ash says. "Before we go... Let's have a battle Cross!" Ash says. "Fine..." Cross says grumpy. "I'll be the referee!" Brock says.

Ash and Cross went to a battlefield. "Hey Cross you ready!" Ash says. "Yea sure..." Cross says pulling out a Pokeball. "I choose you! Incineroar!" Cross says bringing out Incineroar. "Woah Incineroar..." Ash says pulling out a Pokedex.

"What?" Ash says. "It's not a new species, it came from another region, where I live." Cross says. "Woah where is it?" "I won't tell you, but it is my strongest Pokemon though." Cross says with honesty. "Ok then I choose you! Charmander!" Ash says as Charmander comes out of his Pokeball. "Let the match begin!" Brock says.

"Charmander! Try a Flamethrower!" Ash says with passion. "Char! (Okay!)" Charmander says using the attack. "Incineroar take it..." Cross says. Incineroar took the attack and didn't even flinch. "What?!" Ash says surprised. "Hah... Now Incineroar use your Flamethrower!" Cross says. "Dodge it Charmander!" Ash says. Charmander dodged the attack, but soon found Incineroar got close to Charmander. "Ah!" Ash says surprised. "Incineroar use Throat Chop!" Cross says. The attack blowed against Charmander leaving Charmander harmed. "Oh no! Charmander!" Ash says worried. "Hah! You don't stand a chance against me!" Cross says. "Charmander! Can you get up?" Ash says. "Char! (Yes!)" Charmander says. "Okay! Now fight with Scratch!" Ash says. Charmander got close and attacked Charmander. "Take it..." Cross says. Incineroar took the attack and got hurt a little bit, but stood strong. "Now end this with Cross Chop!" Cross says. The attack smashed Charmander really hard back, Charmander got up and started glowing. "Char... (Haff...)" Charmander pants as he was about to go down. "Woah!" Ash says as he was looking at the bright light, Cross said nothing. "Char Char Char! Charmeleon! (I am getting! Stronger!)" Charmeleon said showing his muscles which he had none. "Cool!" Ash says. "Alright time for a comeback for victory! Right?" Ash says to his new Charmeleon. "Char! (Yea!)" Charmeleon says. "Charmeleon! Use Fire Spin!" Ash says. Charmeleon used Fire Spin to burn his opponent down. "Take it once more! Then use Cross Chop one final time!" Cross says. "Why does he let his Incineroar take the attacks?" Ash thought to himself. "Hurry use your Slash to counter!" Ash orders. Both attacks hit and one came out victorious... Incineroar. "Hmpf, good job Incineroar." Cross says. "Oh no! Charmeleon!" Ash says going over to Charmeleon

"You see Ash I am stronger I deserve a battle against Ho-oh!" Cross says. "Yes you do..." Ash says as he was returning Charmeleon. "Wait you can't be serious!" Misty barges in. "Yea I am, However Cross you have to battle against Ho-oh with me on your side! Because Ho-oh seems just as powerful as your Pokemon, but together we can defeat him as a team!" Ash says pulling his hand out for a handshake of agreement. "Fine fair point." Cross says smiling. "Alright we need to go to the Pokemon Center to heal mine and your Pokemon before we start this journey to where ever we are going!" Ash states. "Good point let's go." Cross says.

Ash and his friends as well as Cross went to the Pokemon Center to heal their Pokemon and now was finding out how to get to Ho-oh, in a library. Ash pulled out his Rainbow Wing and looked at it. "Hmm... A Rainbow Hero? What does that mean? Do I have to give up my quest to become a Pokemon Master for this?" Ash thought to himself. Ash was holding on to the Rainbow Wing, as soon as someone passes by and saw it. "Woah!" ??? says. "That is so cool!" ??? says. "Wah!" Ash says surprised. "Where did you get that?" ??? says. "Oh this? Um... Nowhere?" Ash says nervously. "Oh don't be so silly! Tell me!" ??? says. "Well..." Ash says while he finished explaining his story to ???. "Wow that is so cool! Can I come too! I'd love to see a battle like that!" ??? says. "Oh I forgot to introduce myself! I am Verity! What is yours!" Verity says. "Oh I am Ash Ketchum!" Ash says. "Nice name Ash! This is my partner Piplup!" Verity says. "Woah cool!" Ash says as he pulls out a pokedex.

"Huh?" Ash says. "Oh yeah I forgot Piplup's data is not in your beginning pokedex..." Verity says. "I will tell you that I am from the Sinnoh region!" Verity says. "Oh wow cool!" Ash says. "This is my starter Piplup!" Verity says. "Woah so what are you doing here?" Ash says. "Ah! Err..." Verity says Nervously. "What did you get into some sort of trouble?" Ash says. "Well here is the thing... I ran away from home..." Verity whispers to Ash. "You? Wha!.." Ash says as his mouth was covered by Verity. "Shh! Don't tell anyone promise?" Verity says. "Okay." Ash whispers.

"Hey Ash found anything yet?" Brock says. "Err... Nope!" Ash says. "Okay keep looking!" Brock says. "Hmm? What are you trying to find?" Verity says. "I am trying to find out where Ho-oh is!" Ash says. "Oh I think I saw a book that shows a way to find Ho-oh!" Verity says. "You know where!" Ash says. "Yep! Over here!" Verity says pointing over to a bunch of books. "Thanks!" Ash says. "No problem!" Verity says. "Hey Brock I found it!" Ash whispers while walking towards Brock with a book in hand. "That's great Ash! Let's read it. And who is this?" Brock says. "Oh hi I am Verity I want to come along on your journey to find Ho-oh too!" Verity says. "Sure just let me read this." Brock says as he was turning the pages. "Hmm... I think I see how this works..." Brock says while looking at the book. "How?" Ash says. "Here's how it works, The Rainbow Hero is supposed to use the Rainbow Wing to point it to the rainbow that leads to Ho-oh's next destination." Brock says. "Oh! I get it!" Ash says. "But it's getting late we should rent a place to stay here in the Pokemon Center." Ash says. "Great Idea Ash. I bet tomorrow morning we should be able to see a rainbow!" Brock states. "Fine by me." Misty says. "Me too..." Cross says grumpy.

Ash and his friends will start their journey to find Ho-oh, So the Journey Continues!
