Chapter 9 - The Hidden Village of Pokemon

Ash and his friends are heading towards Vermillion City for Ash's third gym badge so he can enter the Indigo League in Kanto. It seems Ash and his friends have gotten lost in the process.

"Look Ash! Look where you have taken us!" Misty said angry. "Uh I don't know?" Ash says confused. "You gotten us lost you no-brainer!" Misty says. "Well I guess we will be heading towards uh... That way!" Ash says pointing towards a bush. "I don't know Ash wandering in a forest is a bad idea." Brock states. "Fairpoint Brock, but where else would we go?" "We should backtrack so we could find the trail again." Brock says as Ash nods after he said that. "Well back we go!" Ash says leading the way.

Ash and his friends went backtracking, but even got them more lost. "Look both of you! Look where you both have gotten us so far!" Misty says angry. "Sorry Misty, I thought I could help." Ash says trying to calm down Misty. "Oh wait! Look over there!" Brock says pointing towards the house right by a river. "Woah a village!" Ash says taking a look and approaching it. "Wait hold up Ash. This is not in the map." Brock says looking into the map. "Oh is it not? Well then we can check it out I guess." Ash says. "Oh ok. Let's check it out!" Brock says.

Ash and his friends approached the village. "Hey! Is anyone..." Ash says, but was interrupted. 
"Hey Ash not so loud!" Brock whispers into his ear. "We could be trespassing into unknown property!" Brock adds. "And! You are!" A lady says behind them. "Ah! We are very sorry to bother you mam!" Ash says bowing his head down. "Yea very sorry mam!" Misty says along with Ash. "I am sorry my lady, but are these people bothering you?" Brock says trying to flirt with her. "You know you are too!" The woman says poking Brock in the chest. Brock felt turned down as he was lifted away from a mysterious Pokemon that came out of the bush. "A-ah!" Brock says as he was being lifted up. "Woah who is that Pokemon?" Ash says curiously pointing Dexter to the Pokemon that came out of the bush.

Bulbasaur The Seed Pokemon a Grass and Poison Type - A strange seed was planted on its back at birth. The plants sprouts and grows with this Pokemon.

Ash put away his Pokedex, and walked up to the woman. "Is that your Pokemon?" Ash says curiously. "Well no, it was abandoned by its trainer because he said it was too weak to fight in a gym battle. And now it protects this village from trainers around the world like you wanting to catch any wild Pokemon. It only trusts me and the Pokemon in the village." "Oh man I hate those type of trainers who abandons their Pokemon for a dumb reason." Ash says angry. "Wow I never knew that uh... Who is your name?" "Oh sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town, over here we have Misty Waterflower from Cerulean City, and finally the person that was flirting with you was Brock from Pewter City." Ash says revealing their names. "Oh my name is melanie. I am a qualified Pokemon doctor." Melanie says happily. "I am a Pokemon Breeder you know? And we could get together and hang out maybe?" Brock says trying to flirt with her. "AH!" Brock yells as Bulbasaur used Vine Whip to pull Brock away from her. Ash sighs as he walks over to Bulbasaur. 

"Hey did your trainer abandoned you Bulbasaur?" Ash says wanting to know if the story she said was true. "Bul! Bulba! Bulbasaur! (Hey who are you! A trainer I bet and want to catch me? Well you are not getting any of these Pokemon or me!)" Bulbasaur says angry. "Whoa jeez chill Bulbasaur I was wondering if you wanted to join me on my Pokemon Journey because you look like a strong Pokemon to me, I bet that other trainer of yours didn't realize that." Ash says responding to Bulbasaur, but seeing Bulbasaur shocked. "Bulbasaur! (How did you talk to me?)" Bulbasaur says. "Long story short, I have powers." Ash whispers to Bulbasaur's ear. "Bulba... (Woah that's cool I guess...)" "Anyway I want to know your answer Bulbasaur do you want to come along my journey and be my friend?" Ash says leaving Bulbasaur a choice to make. "Bulba. (I still don't trust you and who will be here to protect the Pokemon?)" Bulbasaur says concerned. "I think that these Pokemon don't need to be protected by you I think these Pokemon are able to protect themselves." Ash says believing what he said. "Bulba Bulba! (I think so... I had been protecting them several weeks ago and teaching them how to fight for themselves using moves.)" Bulbasaur says. "Bulba! (Fine! I will, but first you'll have to battle me!)" Bulbasaur says.

Ash and Bulbasaur got into a battle stance. "I choose you! Pikachu!" Ash says. "Pika! (On duty!)" "Bulba? (You do know that you have a disadvantage?)" "I know Bulbasaur." Ash's friends come over to see the fight as well as Melanie. "What is going on here?" Melanie says with concern. "Well Melanie you see I want to catch this Bulbasaur and have it on my team because it has guts like I do." Ash says with a reason. "Oh are you sure about this Bulbasaur?" Melanie says concerned. "Bulba! (Yes!)" Bulbasaur says with a nod.

"Pikachu! Start off strong with a Quick Attack." Ash says with pride. "Pika! (Charge!)" Pikachu charges into Bulbasaur knocking it back a few steps. "Woah this Bulbasaur is tough... my type of Pokemon!" Ash thought to himself. "Okay! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" "Bulba! (Not so fast!)" Bulbasaur says charging at Pikachu quickly with a Tackle. Bulbasaur hit Pikachu really hard on the chest pushing Pikachu back far away. Ash reacted in a worry. "Pikachu! Are you okay?" "Pika! (Oh that was nothing compared to what I am going to do!" Pikachu answers Ash charging his cheeks. "Okay! Use Thunder!" Ash says as Pikachu follows. Pikachu releases a huge Thunder attack that was not very effective, but still hurt Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur was losing strength, Ash realized this and grabbed a Pokeball then threw it at Bulbasaur. "Go Pokeball!" Ash says when he threw it. The Pokeball sucked Bulbasaur in, but Bulbasaur wasn't about to give up! Bulbasaur broke free from the Pokeball and unleashed a Vine Whip attack. It grabbed on to Pikachu and threw him toward the ground. "Pikachu are you alright!" Ash says with more worry. "Pika... (I am okay I think...)" Pikachu says panting. "Bulba! (How'd you like that!)" Bulbasaur says confident. "Oh I liked that, it just makes me want to catch you even more!" Ash says excited. "Well then let's finish this Pikachu!" Ash says knowing what combination he should use. "Alright Pikachu! Let's do a Quick Attack and Iron Tail Combination!" Ash says with pride. "Pika! (Alright!)" Pikachu follows Ash's command. Pikachu ran really quick towards Bulbasaur and hit him with a Iron Tail on the head smashing Bulbasaur towards the ground. "Bulba... (I didn't see that coming...)" Bulbasaur says with swirly eyes.

 "I guess you lost does that mean I get to catch you?" "Bulba (Sure, but don't be like that other trainer of mine.)" "I promise!" Ash says pulling a Pokeball out of his hand. Bulbasaur touched the Pokeball and got sucked in. Bulbasaur was caught showing a ding sound. "Congratulations Ash! You caught a Bulbasaur!" Melanie says with a smile. "Grr I wanted to be praised like that by Melanie." Brock thought to himself. Ash heard and didn't care. "Come on out Bulbasaur." Ash says bringing out Bulbasaur. "Bulba? (Huh?)" "Okay Bulbasaur I hope you and I can become great friends!" Ash says to Bulbasaur. "Bulba! (Yea!)" Bulbasaur says and gives a high-five to Ash. Ash high-fived with Bulbasaur and returned him. "We'd better go to a Pokemon Center, it's getting late and I need to heal Bulbasaur from the battle it had with us." Ash says to his friends. "Hey Melanie! Do you know where to find a Pokemon Center from here?" Ash says worried. "I do! It's right over there!" She says pointing towards the bushes where they came from. "Oh thank you!" Ash says lowering his head. "Don't worry about it also, please don't tell anyone about this place okay?" Melanie says. "We won't!" Ash replies. Ash and his friends head their way back so they would find the trail again and not get lost again next morning.
