It was a week after the whole party incident with Sam and Jack and I hung out most every day. I didn't feel like I was cheating on Sam but part of me didn't feel like it was right to be groping all over Gilinsky when Sam and I weren't officially broken up. But I didn't care, and Jack didn't seem to care about his best friend either.

Graduation day rolled around, that next Monday. As I got up that day and showered and did my hair and changed into a white lace dress it finally hit me that I wasn't a student anymore. Yeah I was going to college and I would be one there, but I spent most of my life in Omaha and going through the school district it was weird to think that today was the end. I heard the garage door opening realizing that my mom was home from work. I did my make up quickly, grabbed a pair of peach wedges from my closest, grabbed my phone, my keys and purse and headed down to the kitchen. As I walked into the kitchen my parents were standing there and I saw my mom start to cry. I gave her that look of "please stop because then you will make cry". I asked where my cap and gown were and my dad told me he put them in my car already. "Thanks dad" I said walking over to him while hugging him. As I pulled away I saw tears form in the corner of his eyes. I looked at him and said "hey! You aren't a suppose to cry yet! That's a whole hour away!" He laughed and I knew that I made him proud. I hugged my crying mother and kissed her cheek and headed out the door to my car.

My phone dinged just as soon as I closed the door to my car. It was a text from Mallory, she said:

Hey guys! Just a remainder we are doing a

before prom picture at my house and then everyone can come back to my house afterwords for a party! See ya soon!

Shit! I totally forgot about that! I pulled out of the driveway and headed to Mallory's house. I got there soon and parked along the street. I walked up the drive way and saw all the girls standing on the big front porch. "Hey Ken!" Mallory said running up and hugging me.

"Hi Mal! Sorry I am late I forgot"

"No that's completely okay we are just waiting for the rest of the guys to show up"

"Oh I didn't know they are coming? But who are we waiting for?"

"Oh just the Jacks...like always running late!"

I had to laugh because I knew it was true. Just as I turned around to talk to Emily and Laine I saw Sam walk out of the front door with a smirk on his face, knowing I would be here. All I could think was "shit, what the hell am I suppose to say to you".
