Chapter 13 Magnus & Alec

Magnus POV: I was so tired I guess from all the healing must have tired me out so much I look over to my side of the bed and see it's only 3:45am ugh why am I up this early for? I look over to my side and I see Alexander laying there I guess since I passed out he must have come over beside me I slowly pull the blanket off me and I slowly make my way to the bathroom I didn't wanted to wake up Alec I go into the bathroom and I splash some water onto my face and I make my way out to the bathroom I grab my phone I open my bedroom door and I walk out into the living room and closing my bedroom door I grab a book, a pillow and a few blankets I go outside and I place the pillow on the couch outside I use my magic to heat up the fireplace this is much better it's so quiet tonight too quiet the stars were out and the moon was shining so bright I start reading my book while my phone is on my lap a few minutes in of reading the book my phone starts vibrating I didn't realise until I finish my book and then I see I had one missed call and there was a voice message I better listen to it "Hi Magnus it's Luke um Clary told me what happened I hope you are feeling better I'm sorry I didn't come by. It's just I've been dealing with a lot of werewolf problems with the pack well I might stop by yours in a few hours when I'm free from work and werewolf errands. Ok well I better let you go talk to you soon." Then soon as I finished listening to Luke's voice message I hear a few howls well it is a full moon. I snuggle into the blankets I switch off my phone I'm so tired a few more hours sleep won't hurt I click my fingers so the heat can keep my body warm and I start falling asleep as I feel the heat on my body keeping me nice, warm and toasty.
Alec POV: I yawn and I wake up I check the time on my phone it's 6:57am I look over and Magnus wasn't in the bed I slowly start panicking I look over the whole apartment he wasn't know where to be found then all the sudden I see in the corner of my eye I see that the fireplace outside was on that's very strange I go outside and I look at the couch oh my god did Magnus sleep out here oh that god his safe I thought someone took him again well I better make him some breakfast he must be hungry I go into the kitchen and I make some food for Magnus to eat I place it on a tray and I grab a glass and a cup I pour orange juice in the glass and coffee in the cup I take it out there. Wow it's almost sunrise I tap of his shoulder softly.
Magnus POV: I smelt something good then I felt a tap of my shoulder "Hi I had you some breakfast and I made you some coffee and orange juice how did you sleep." Alec says as I take a sip of the orange juice first "I slept ok and sorry for sleeping out here I guess all the healing made me wake up and fall asleep again." I replied back as I eat all the breakfast and I finished the drinks Alec takes the dishes back in the house and quickly washes them and he comes back out "It's almost sunrise." He says with excitement and just then it's 7:23am and the sun starts rising "Wow it's so beautiful." I say "Yes it is beautiful but you're more beautiful." Alec says I smile at him he comes over to me and kisses my lips softly "Well that's good way to start the morning." I said to him he giggles "Yeah it should is." He said as his phone starting ringing "Hello um yeah sure I'll be right down there." He says on the phone "It seems like I've been called down to the institute for some reason I really don't want to go I don't want to leave you're side Magnus." He smiles as he says it "Hey it's ok I'll go back inside and I'll lock everything and plus Luke will be coming over in a few hours so he will protect me don't worry." I reply back Alec grabs the blankets and pillow while I grab my phone and book as I turn off the fireplace we both get inside and I lock every door and window and I help Alec to portal to the outside of the institute. As I am home looking at everything in my office and I start making some spells while Alec is at the institute.
Alec POV: So I got to the institute and I sneak through my bedroom window to act like I slept there I quickly mess up my hair and I putted on my pjs I quickly pull the curtains over and I get into my bed because my dad is coming today for some reason I don't know why but Izzy and Jace isn't going to tell our father were I was because I might be in trouble then I act like I'm asleep as I hear footsteps and then a knock on my door I get up and I walk to the door still acting like I just woke up I open the door "Dad what are you doing here." I say to him "Get dressed we need to talk." He replies I close my door and I get dressed I do my hair as I'm finished a quickly call Magnus to see how he is doing I start calling his number *ring ring*
Magnus: "Hello Alexander."
Alec: "Hi Magnus I thought I would see how are you doing."
Magnus: "I'm doing pretty great what about you."
Alec: "I'm doing alright what are you doing right now."
Magnus: "Nothing just working on some spells I miss you."
Alec: "I miss you too I just thought I'll let you know that I don't know when I'll be home but I'll tell you about it when I do get back home listen I got to go but I love you."
Magnus: " Ok I love you too."
I hang up and I switch off my phone I open my door and I follow my dad downstairs he opens my office door and he locks the door we sit down on the chairs and we start talking "I know what are you going to say what am I doing why should I be here." He said to me "Well tell me dad why are you here in the first place shouldn't you be in at you're own place at Idris." I say to him as I place my phone in the desk drawer "I know but I had to come here for some stuff. Well I guess you've been looking after this place so much anyways back on topic I'm here because I need you're help I know I mess things up with you're trust and me and you're mother ain't together but we need some help at the Idris institute things have been acting strange. Most of the people have been disappearing and then show up at random times looking at stuff in the computers." He says "Well I'll send some of a strong and powerful shadowhunters they'll work on it." I say. All I'm thinking in my head is Magnus I hope his ok I'm just missing him so much as my father leaves my office I call a meeting and I get some of the bravest and strongest shadowhunters to check on what's been happening at the Idris institute.
Magnus POV: I kept working on my spells as I hear a knock on the door I put all my spells and my spell book away and I go to the front door "Who is it?" I say "Hey can I come in." It sounds like Luke I open the door "Hey Magnus you're looking great." He says to me "Thanks um come in." He comes in then I close the door "Um do you want a beer or something to eat." I ask him "Sure I'll take a beer." He says to me I go into the kitchen and I grab a beer I hand him to bottle "Thanks. Um I hope you don't mind me for showing up like this and for Clary telling me what happened to you." He says "No problem and it's ok I'm feeling a lot better I might be a little off balance but I'm getting there and plus you know everybody from the down world to shadowhunters they're family even some of them I don't like but hey that's life I guess." I say to him "I'm sorry I haven't been around as much the pack as be rough over the last couple of days a lot of fights and a lot of broken furniture it's kinda of hard to replace I swear I wish I could have a break from this pack from this wolves but I'm the pack leader." He laugh as he said to me "Well everybody wishes they could have a break from what they are doing I've had werewolves, vampires and warlocks asking me if they can have a spell that can release them from being a part of who they are I know most of them what's to live normal life's but they are just a bit different." I replied back. I was think about Alec I miss him I guess his work is stressing him out I think I might come up with a good idea I hope he'll like it.
Alec POV: A few hours went by and everything was fixed in the Idris institute I switch on my phone as I'm reading the reports that the shadowhunters gave me when they come back and my father he left. I check to see if I had any messages on my phone then soon as I check my messages a message from Magnus pops up
*text message*
Magnus: Hey Alexander I'm just checking in and seeing how are you doing I miss you come home soon it's almost 8:43pm
Alec: Hi Magnus I'm doing ok I miss you too I'll be home soon I'm just checking this report and I'll be home as fast as I can I love you
Magnus: I love you too see you
*text message end*
I save the report on my computer and I grab my phone and I head out of my office and on the way to Magnus apartment I stopped at the alcohol shop before I got to Magnus place I walk in I had my visibility rune on so nobody saw me I had to crate some kind of someway I can get the wine Magnus likes without the scanners going off I went over to the other side where it had different glass bottles of alcohol well hope this works I start smashing them I hear the cashier run over as I start running the other way I grab Magnus favourite wine and I quickly pay for it putting the money in till as I grab two brown paper bags and I left so now I'm on my way to Magnus place I hope he likes this sweet little surprise I bet he will he loves this wine well least I got two bottles of it so we'll probably drink the second tomorrow I'm almost at Magnus place I just need to cross the road and I'm there I'm so excited to see him I've been missing him all day. I don't know if I should tell him what happened today I have to so just in case if it happens to his side and I'll probably have to let Simon and Luke know as well ugh why does everything have to be so difficult I know I wanted to be leader of the New York institute but it's always makes me work late anyways I just got to think how lucky I am to have Magnus in my life his the one who is keeping me strong god I love him so much.
Magnus POV: Alec texted me saying his on his way up right now and it's a good thing because I made his favourite meal I go into the kitchen I grab the food I place it on the table everything looks perfect just then I heard a knock on the door I go to the door and I open it "Hi something smells nice." Alec says as he kisses my lips he closes the door behind me "Yeah oh you brought some wine go outside that's where the food is." I say as I grab the wine glasses Alec makes his way outside and I go outside to closing the door behind us "Wow it's definitely a beautiful night the stars out I couldn't ask for a better night." He says he pours the wine and we start eating and talking "Hey quick question do you have to go to work tomorrow." I ask him "I don't think so I might need to check why?" He replies "I thought that maybe we could sleep out here tonight it's not too cold and it's still a little warm I can turn the couch into a bed it's up to you I just thought it would be a nice idea." I say he kisses my cheek "Yeah I'll like that. And plus we're never slept out here before also it would be nice" He says soon after we finished the food and all the wine me and Alec washed the dishes grabbed our phones, chargers, pillows and blankets and I grab my keys we walk back outside I click my fingers and I turn the couch into a bed we placed the pillows and blankets down on it and we put in our phone charger next to a little table outside I put my phone on the charge and I switch off my phone Alec was on his phone just making sure that he doesn't have work tomorrow he hangs up the phone "I don't have work tomorrow least I can try my best to spend the day with you." He says as he kisses my lips he places his phone on the charge and he puts his phone on silent he lays down on the bed/ couch as I quickly lock the door go outside and I go and lay beside Alec "Goodnight Magnus I love you." He says "Goodnight Alec I love you too." He kisses my cheek I put on the fireplace so we could be a bit warm we go to sleep in each other's arm it felt so good to be loved by Alec he works so hard I know it's difficult for him because most days he doesn't have time off but he makes it up to me god I love him so much. I can tell his happy that he founded me I'm glad I founded him because I don't know what would have happened to me if I didn't find someone to love he really shows me how to love he opens my heart every time.
