Chapter 14 Alec POV

So I wake up and I check my phone I see I'm getting a phone call lucky my phone was at the end of the bed/ couch outside with Magnus I see he left his keys beside the table I grab his keys and I grab my phone I unlock the door I go inside to talk it's Jace "Hey um I'm sorry to call you I know you're weekends are supposed to spending time with Magnus but we need you down here it's really important I'm sure you will make it up to Magnus." He says to me over the phone "Ok give me a few minutes I need to have a shower and put some clean clothes on." I say to him "Yeah Ok well I'll see you soon then." He replies and he ended the call. I wish I wasn't this busy I really wanted to spend my weekend with Magnus I grab my charger and I take a shower after I finished having a shower I put some clean clothes on I check my phone well I have a few minutes left before I have to go I quickly make Magnus some breakfast and I make him some coffee as well I write a little note for him I place on the table as I kiss his forehead I putted on the note was "Hey sorry babe I had to go to work Jace called me said it was important I wish I wasn't so busy I'll make it up to you I hope you like this breakfast I love you xo love Alec." I draw a little flower and a heart on the piece of paper I start making my way to the institute I wish I didn't have to leave Magnus today. I was close to the institute I saw Jace outside I grab a coffee from the corner before I was close to the institute I taped on Jace's shoulder "Hey what are you doing out here." I ask him he gives me a hug "Hey I needed some fresh air. Everyone kept asking me where's Alec? Is he here yet? Can you call him again? I don't know how you put up with all these." He says to me "Trust me it's hard but I try my best to not focus on what they say most days so what was so important to get me away from Magnus this weekend." I ask him "Well that file that they gave you it seems like someone doesn't want you to see it." He says to me I was shocked I didn't know if he was joking or serious "Are you joking? Are you playing a prank on me." I ask him "No I'm serious it seems like soon as you left someone went in you're office and took the file and left something in you're desk one of our brave shadowhunters was looking in to see where the file was and died because of whatever they're used and don't worry nothing wasn't damaged but there was no security video of the person who put it there. And plus we don't know what it was that killed the shadowhunter I guess we really have stop this thing whatever it is before it does it again but it left this note." Jace says to me and hands me the note it was crumbled up a little it was kinda of hard to write but then I start reading it out while I was still shocked
*the crumble note*
They shouldn't have gave you the file they don't know what they got themselves into I guess most of didn't wanted to tell you what happened when they got this file if you try to kill me or even try to find me I'll kill you and everyone you love.
"It looks like this note was written in blood we must find who is doing this before it gets worse." I say "What do you mean worse?" Jace asked me I show him the note "Oh my god ok we better kill this person nobody threatens my parabatai." He says and we go into the institute we all look through my office everything else around the institute to see if we can find any clues or something at least I met back up with Jace, Izzy and Clary "Anything?" I say to them "No I haven't founded anything yet it's like this person or thing doesn't wanted to be founded." Clary says "Did you show them the note?" Jace says "Wait what note?" Izzy says I show it to Clary and Izzy "Don't worry we will catch this son of a bitch and make sure this thing or person goes down for saying these things." Clary says "Yeah Clary is right we better find this thing or person." Izzy agrees as she says it just then my phone goes off it's Magnus calling "Hey sorry guys I need to take this real quick I'll be right back." I go down to my room and I close my door I answer the phone my heart is still racing I'm worried about Magnus and my family I hope we get this person or thing soon
Magnus: "Hi Alexander I got you're note and the breakfast was lovely I wish you was here."
Alec: "Hi Magnus I'm glad you like it I wish I didn't have to go to the institute um quick question do you think you can have Luke and some of his packs keep watch on you're place just for a few while."
Magnus: "I guess I could ask Luke why what's going on?"
Alec: *sends a picture of the note*
Magnus: *looks at the note* "Oh my god ok yeah I'll call Luke soon I could be there but I'm guessing you want me to be safe and sound."
Alec: "Yeah I do I don't want this thing or person hurt you. You're the most important thing in my life I can't lose you I love you Magnus."
Magnus: "I love you too Alec ok I'll call Luke right now please be safe and keep me update please."
Alec: "I will and also get Luke to stay in the apartment with you because then he could signal the wolves at anytime. And please stay safe and text me if anything goes wrong"
Magnus: "I will and yeah sure I will do that."
*the call ended*
I place my phone in my pocket and I start seeing a line from my room to somewhere "Hey guys can you come down here." I yell and Jace, Izzy and Clary comes down "Do you guys see this?" I ask "Yeah what is that?" Clary asks "I don't know but let's follow it." Jace says "Well least I came prepared." Izzy says she pulls out my bow and arrows she hands them to me she gives Jace a seraph blades she gives Clary her weapons and she grab out her electrum laced whip. "Remember stick together we can't get lost." I say as we start following the line it leads us outside "We must have followed into a dead end." Jace says then Clary walks off "Hey guys there's something over here." She says we walk over to it "Ok if this leads to anything we have to be careful and quiet just in case whatever this thing or person is can't know we're onto them." I whisper as we start going down it then I feel a little tap on my shoulder "Alec look." Jace whispers I look over there was at least 3 to 4 bodies it looks like mundane bodies then all the sudden we hear screaming coming from a room we follow where they screaming is coming from and we see another mundane body as the thing shows up "Help please someone help me please I don't know what you want me. Please just let me go I haven't done anything wrong." The mundane screams as loud as he could "Sssh it will be all over soon as you know it." The thing said. It quickly punched through the stomach of the mundane the thing left as we go in and look around there was writing on the wall "I only want to speak to Alec alone. If you're friends come along they'll all die." It was covered in the mundane blood "What are you going to do Alec we can't let you go in alone." Izzy says Jace nods his head and agrees with Izzy I pull Jace over to the side "Listen this thing or person isn't going to stop unless I talk to it and find out why it's doing this. Just keep everyone close by but don't get caught that's the last thing we ever want." I say to him "Yeah I know well you better call Magnus he must be so worried." Jace says as he goes back over I check my phone to see what time it is and then I start dialing his number.
Magnus: "Hello Alexander."
Alec: I slowly start tearing up a little "Hey Magnus how are you."
Magnus: "I'm good you."
Alec: "Um yeah I'm doing good." I kept crying softly
Magnus: "Is everything ok Alexander you sound like you're crying."
Alec: "Yeah everything is ok I just accidentally poke myself in the eye. Is Luke still there?"
Magnus: "Um yeah he is why?"
Alec: "Can you put him on please I just want to check and see if his doing alright."
Magnus: "Yeah and we'll talk after you two have done talking right?"
Alec: "Yeah of course we will."
Magnus: "Ok."
He hands the phone over to Luke
Luke: "Hi Alec um Clary told me what's going on are you ok?"
Alec: "Yeah listen you have to listen to this but you can't tell Magnus he would freak out and wants to leave to find me. I know he would do anything to protect me"
Luke: "Yeah sure what is it?"
Alec: "Ok so this thing or person lead us down to somewhere and he wants me to meet him alone soon so Clary, Jace and Izzy are staying close by. This thing or person wants to meet me and only me." I start telling him more of the plan.
Luke: "Ok will do. Good luck."
He hands the phone back over Magnus
Magnus: "I love you Alexander."
Alec: "I love you too Magnus listen I got to go but I'll check in with you soon."
Magnus: "Ok"
He hangs up the phone I wish I could give him a hug and everyone starts walking into a secret door that can't be founded I hand Izzy my phone "Here if Magnus calls back again just say I'm doing something." Izzy gives me a hug then Jace then Clary "Be careful please." Jace says as they close the door and I start walking around to find this thing or person then I see a shadow walk by I follow it then the lights switch on "Hello Alec." The thing or person said to me "I've came here alone just like you asked me to do. So are you going to explain to me who are you and why you stole the file." I say as the thing turns around it was a shapeshifter it looked like me "Why do you look like me." I say to it "Oh Alec come on wake up to yourself you know shapeshifters can turn into anyone." He says to me "You look like a evil version of me." I say he just laughs "Don't you think any shapeshifters can be evil versions of someone and plus I knew you wasn't going to show up alone." He clapped his hand and there was 3 more different shapeshifters they would holding Clary, Izzy and Jace but it was also the evil versions of them too "Now you see Alec we had a deal you keep this to yourself you were supposed to meet me alone not bring anyone else. But I guess they'll have to die now." He said "Wait no don't do that please I really did come alone I didn't know they were here I swear to the angel." I said "He is telling the truth listen I saw Alec leave the institute when he had a phone call I didn't know where he was going so I asked Izzy and Jace to help me to see what's going on he was acting strange when it got to the institute." Clary says "Is this true?" He asked me "Yes I looked around my office that's when I founded your note trust me I did come here alone." I said "Fine. Take them outside. I just want it to me and Alec." He says as they take Clary, Izzy and Jace outside "So what was in that file that you didn't want anyone to see." I ask "Well it was a little report of that shapeshifters can easily turn into evil versions of someone and that they've been killing mundanes." He says to me "So that's what you were afraid of. Seeing a little post like that." I ask "No because I saw everything. Everything you were trying to do in the institute that night well those brave shadowhunters saw me they saw a face they couldn't forget why do you think they didn't talk to you because they thought I was in the same place after they came back. But yet again I guess they couldn't remember too much because of what happened to them next." He says as he hears what's happening upstairs the evil versions shapeshifters died. He start cut my sides then he did a deep cut wound in my leg then he cut me right in my right shoulder then I shot my arrow at him soon as he died I fall onto the floor I hear footsteps coming downstairs I could hear Izzy, Clary and Jace voice "Alec where are you?" Jace says "Oh my god Jace, Clary over there Alec stay with me come on." Izzy says as I hear they're footsteps walking in the room "Alec come on parabatai stay with me." Jace says as he uses his stele trying to heal me I scream "We need to get him to Magnus's Clary call Luke." Jace says as he picks me up "Izzy go to the hotel dumort see if Raphael has any types of blood of Alec's and bring it to Magnus's" Jace says "Stay with me big brother please don't give up." Izzy says as she kisses my forehead and runs to the dumort as Clary and Jace takes me to Magnus "I killed the shapeshifter." I say softly as my eyes gets heavy I slowly start closing them "Oh my god Jace his losing too much blood." Clary says "Come on stay with me Alec please you can't leave do you hear me you can't go." Jace says they find reach to Magnus place Clary knocks on the door Luke answer it "Oh my god what happened to him." Luke asked "I don't know." Clary asked then I hear Magnus running "Oh my god Alexander. Don't worry I'll heal you." Magnus says "Clary grab that sheet." Clary grabs a sheet and Magnus snaps his fingers to make the couch into a bed Clary places the sheets over it and I feel Magnus starting to do magic I start screaming "It's ok just hold on please Alexander." I hear Magnus voice he was so scared Izzy finally comes back with the blood "Should this be enough blood." She asks "Yeah it should be." Jace says as I start screaming more then all went to black. "Please stay with me you're all I got in this world Alec you make me so happy you always cheer me up you make me laugh please I can't lost you please come back." Magnus whispers as I start having flashbacks god is this what dying feels like. "Please Alec you can't leave me you're my parabatai please keep fighting this don't give up please we all need you here. Magnus needs you his trying his best to keep you alive please he doesn't want to lose the most important thing in his life you always make him happy I'm proud of you for falling in love with someone you truly love. You're so brave and strong Alec please come back to all of us." Jace whispers. The flashbacks starts happening again I need to wake up I don't want this to me over I'm not ready to leave this world behind I have a happy life with Magnus with my parabatai Jace with my sister Izzy with my family this can't be the end just then I felt someone touching my hand it was Magnus's hand "Please come back to me I remember the first time we start I love you to each other I didn't tell you something that day nobody has ever told me they loved me before so you're the first person to tell me that you love me and every single day we say I love you to each other makes me so happy you keep me strong you believe in me you make me the reason of being the high warlock of Brooklyn even though I'm not anymore you still believe in because you know my magic is strong enough please Alexander come back to me you're all I need in this world." I felt Magnus whisper in my ear.
*flashback to 3 months ago*
I saw Magnus in the kitchen I sneak up behind him then I wrapped my arms around his stomach "Oh hi there Alexander. How did you sleep." He said to me god his voice is so soft and cute "I slept good mm something smells good." I said "Yeah I made you some zucchini pasta with prawns, spinach, broccoli and chicken." He says "What would I do without you." I replied as I kiss his lips softly "I love you Alexander." He says to me "I love you too Magnus." I kiss his cheek as I give him a hug.
*flashback ended*
I can't be dying please wake up this can't be the end for me please I care about a lot of people I'll miss them if I go please WAKE UP I can't leave my family, friends, my parabatai and I can't leave my real true love. A few hours went by then I slowly start waking up it was so dizzy and blurry "God I wish he could just wake up right now I miss him." I could hear Magnus "He's trying his best to fight it. His fighting from dying because he knows he's got you and his got everyone in his life who loves him and loves him for being himself." Jace says to Magnus "I should have been there with you guys." Magnus says "You would have been in the same situation as Alec he was protecting you." Jace says. I look around and I was in a different room this looks like Magnus's guest room "Magnus.." I whisper softly I hear footsteps leave the room "Magnus! Magnus! You guys come with me." Clary says "Magnus.. where are you.." I say as I start screaming and crying I hear Magnus's footsteps running as he leads at the bed he holds my hand "I'm here. I'm here." He kisses my forehead "You'll be ok don't worry. What got you out of it." He asks me I kiss his lips softly "You did." He smiles at me as I say that I still felt some pain but I was slowly getting better a few hours went by I kept closing my eyes from time to time "Hey." I whisper softly "Hi how are you feeling." Jace asked me I guess Magnus felt asleep while holding my hand "I'm ok I feel so weak." I replied "Yeah well you did lose a lot of blood. Most of you're blood is over me." He says as I look up and I see the bag of blood "Damn how much did I lose. And also I'll buy you some new clothes if you want." I said "It's ok you don't need to do that and it was 4.5 ounces of blood you lost but then it was another 3.7 ounces of blood you lost soon as we got you to Magnus's." He says "Well damn that's a lot of blood." I said as I tried moving but I screamed in pain it woke up Magnus "Sorry for waking you up." I said "It's ok I guess you're trying to get comfortable." He said as I slowly start feeling something leaking on to the bed with a clean sheets I start feeling light headed again "What is it Alexander." Magnus says as I see more blood was coming out of me I start closing my eyes again "What's going on with him." Jace asks Magnus "I don't know he shouldn't be bleeding again. Quick get Izzy." He says as he start pushing onto my chest "Don't die on me Alexander please." He whispers "Oh my god Alec what's going on with him why is he bleeding out why is this happening for." Izzy says as she starts crying "Izzy I need you to stay here with Alec and Jace. Me and Clary will go to the hotel dumort and get more blood from Raphael just keep pressure and text me if he gets worse." He says as I feel Izzy putting pressure I kept blacking out and having flashback please I can't be dying I'm not ready please don't do this to me I don't deserve to die why are you doing this to me why? I could hear Izzy crying so much she's my little sister I've always looked after her every time our parents never did I was always looking after her we shared amazing and funny moments together.
*flashback to 5 years ago*
I saw Izzy in the living room crying on the couch I go over and see what's going on with her "What's wrong sis? Why are you crying for?" I ask her "Mom and dad have been fighting again they didn't know I was in here they were throwing stuff at each other like plates and cups I'm scared I don't know what to do is it because of us they're fighting did we do something wrong to upset them." She said as she cried on my shoulder "We didn't do anything wrong it's just how they are. I guess a lot of things has been going on. Hey why don't we go out and get some ice cream and spend a few hours away from mom and dad." I ask her she started smiling "Yeah I'll like that." I check my phone as I open the weather app it was going to be a hot day "Hey pack a swim suit and clean clothes we're going to the beach. And afterwards you can pick out any clothes you want it's my treat." I said to her as she gave me a hug I knew I want to make her day amazing and special she's my sister I love her so much I don't know what I would do without her she gives me advice when I need it she has amazing fashion sense most of the clothes I wear she helps me with. I couldn't ask for a better sister
*flashback ends*
"Magnus... Magnus.." I whisper softly as I kept bleeding out "Jace call Magnus quick." Izzy says as Jace dials Magnus number he puts him on speaker "What's going on with him." Magnus ask Jace "His getting worse his calling out you're name and his losing a lot of blood again." Izzy says "Magnus... where are you..." I whisper "Oh my god has he been toss a bit." Magnus asks "Yeah why?" Jace asks "That's not a good sign you guys need to talk to him while he's still bleeding because his having flashbacks if he hears you voice he'll hold on as much as he can the flashbacks are making him remember all those wonderful times he had with everyone his thoughts in his heads are am I dying so is this what dying feels like. You need to whisper to him and talk to him so we won't lose him. I'll be back in a few minutes we're getting a lot of blood from Raphael." Magnus says then he ends the call I start screaming "Stay with us please Alec please. Be strong you can fight this." Izzy says as Jace walks out the room I felt Izzy's hand let go of the pressure "Where are you going?" Izzy asked Jace "I can't be here his getting worse. His dying can't you see that it's all my fault." Jace replies "It's not your fault. I guess the healing rune hasn't heal him as much. You need to stay here you're the only thing that can keep him alive you're his parabatai." Magnus says as he hands the blood over to Izzy "Jeez Magnus nice way to sneak up on someone." Izzy says "Yeah sorry we portal upstairs. Raphael said this should be enough bags for Alec." Magnus says
