Days passed, without incident. I still had many questions like, Why didn't my family tell me what I am really? Why do they have to make my blood more stronger? What is their purpose? Being a loup-garou (Renee insisted that I use the correct term) kindah freaked me out but I have to admit, this power is so cool. As days passed, I grew closer to Renee. We had so much in common. Besides being loup-garous, she also, like me don't talk to her family. She even likes anime.

RING!!! RING!!!

My phone rang. I reached for it and flipped it open. Sarrah messaged me.

WE NEED TO TALK

"Bother me." I looked at the clock and realized that its 10 minutes before my alarm goes off. Best to be ready. I stood up and headed for the bathroom. I looked at the mirror and noticed that I'm different. I looked taller and I grew muscles. Maybe the loup-garou started its effects. Cool. I took a shower and jumped into some clothes. I went back to my bed and fixed it, and sat there waiting for the Rivs and the rest to wake up while doing my homework. Yeah, I did my homework late. That's the kind of guy I am, waiting until the deadline comes knocking at my door.

Ding Dong!!

My alarm clock goes off. Fortunately my alarm is also the alarm of the rest of the gang. Unfortunately only Yusuf woke up, the other two Rivers muttered, "Tomorrow" and "I don't wanna wake." While Yusuf went to the bathroom, I woke the two cousins with a lot of cursing and punching. I managed to wake them up with bruises all over me after a few minutes. They dressed up and soon we were on the corridor next to our classroom.

"Hey." said a girl's voice.

I turned around to find Sarrah leaning beside one of the columns supporting the ceiling.

"Hi. I received your message." I smiled.

"Good. I really need to talk to you." she said.

"About what?"

"Renee. It's about Renee. Can we talk somewhere? I don't want anyone to eavesdrop." She whispered.

"Sure."

We headed towards one of the broom closet located all over the corridor of the school. I ushered Sarrah inside the claustrophobic space. It was tight enough that Sarrah is so close to my chest.

"So what do you want to tell me that you sent me a message in the wee hours of morning?"

She hesitated for a minute and blurted out, "Renee is dangerous, I want you to avoid her." A blush crept up her face which I admit surprised me. She then continued, "I know it may surprise you but the thing that bit you is a werewolf."

"How did you know?" I asked. She maybe isn't the one I expect her to be.

"You knew?" She accused.

"Just recently. Someone told me. But you hadn't explained why Renee is dangerous." I shrugged.

"I'm getting to that. Renee is a werewolf also."

"I know."

"Okay how much do you know?" she asked.

"Pretty much a lot. I knew Renee is a werewolf because she told me. But why do you want me to avoid my own kind?"

"Your own kind? They're different than you. They're cold blooded killers."

I stepped forward, "What makes you think I'm different from them? What if I'm just like them?"

"Because I know you're not like them. I'm sure of it. I don't want you to be like them." Practically now, even in the low light, Sarrah's face is practically red.
