Zimmy's POV
When my brother was nearly in his 20s, he developed a love for photography. Then he started asking me to be his model, he would pick me up at school and would drive just anywhere to get his perfect picture. I always loved our little trips, and I can't help but to wonder how beautiful my life would be if I was just born like him. With his talent in art and his determination, I think my life would be very interesting. Unfortunately, I wasn't born like him. I've been living this routine of a life for almost 19 years but nothing extremely interesting happened to me. I want to do things I've been meaning to do, I want to break the chains that the people around me plastered on me. Despite all my worries, one thing I know is that I'm where I'm supposed to be.
It is a new day in Seoul and we've been here for five days already, classes were exhausting and I felt tired since morning. I am the only passable cook in the house and they forced me to cook breakfast for all of them and then there's the physically draining class that we needed to attend like normal Korean students.
"I've heard that coffee shop is good," Matty pointed to Starbucks. I rolled my eyes to his unbelievable wit and I almost punched him. Sometimes I wish he could just shut up. He's seriously just saying that he wants coffee.
After our classes, we have decided to check Hana Medical Center. Which is where Mrs. Shim's brother works as a psychiatrist but we're not even halfway through the location, this Matthew here decided to tempt us all for a drink. "Okay, an iced coffee will do," Dara suggested. In the end, we found ourselves ordering and waiting for our buzzer to buzz. We were sitting comfortably inside the shop when a small crowd of girls made the place busier, but if you're going to listen closely, they're definitely here because of some celebrity.
Two guys entered the shop and went straight to order, the cashier was obviously startled. "Is it your comeback?" the cashier guy asked while still taking notes of their order, a guy with red, disturbing hair smiled which made his face brighten. "Yes, our title track is jealousy," he said with his bright smile still plastered in his face. The other guy paid with his card and commented, "please give it a listen."
With that, they went upstairs to wait for their order and ours came early so we were able to get out of the shop in no time. The medical center is located in Gangnam-gu, which I have no idea where, thanks to waze for existing. Our needy selves would be completely lost without this device. It said that we need to take a cab, a forty-five minutes ride. I sighed and quickly took the front seat the moment a cab accepted us as passengers. The cab turned to a karaoke bar and I'm glad that the driver was too nice to let my friends be annoyingly loud. I don't want to get called killjoy again so I just let them be even though I'm not feeling really well already. I started to breathe heavily, "Sir, can I roll my windows down?"
The driver seem to understand and gestured me to do what I want with a smile on his face. I rolled my window down and let the air touch my skin, my hair begins to fight with the air but it's the least that I care about. This is so much better.
The car stopped on the red light which gave me time to observe people in their car, the car that stopped just adjacent to us is a massive nine-seated van. Although it's completely tinted black, I can still see a shadow; who started rolling his window down and pointed a camera lens right in front of me. The sound of the shutter made me nauseous as I'm pretty sure that I just got a picture stolen by a complete stranger. The person lowered his camera when he realized that I was in his frame, his eyes widened as I hide my face in my hands.
"It's not intentional," he screamed nervously while he made his hands shake in the air.
I regained my composure and I was about to let it go but when I saw his face; he looks like he's from Olympus. I reached for my enamel pin and threw it to him, I like throwing things when I have no idea what to do and when I'm so embarrassed I can die right on the spot. The pin didn't hit him, but it went inside their car. "Did you see that?" he asked the person sitting beside him, "she's going to kill me! that looks like a threat, didn't it?" he added.
