There was a knock on the door , Regina put the game controller down and answered the door .
" are you Regina SwanMills ?" A police officer asked "it's just Ms.Mills " Regina answered " what's this about ?" She continued , the man shifted in his feet " I need you to come down to the station " Regina folded her arms " for what ?" She questioned " I don't know Ms.Mills I was just requested to pick you up " Regina nodded " I need to sort something out for my son "the officer nodded "of course , take your time " .Regina walked back into the sitting room "who was that mom ?" Henry asked "a police officer , I need to go down to the station for something " Henry nodded " I'm okay here mom , I can call Robin to bring Roland ?" Regina nodded and kissed her son's head
" good boy , I'll be home soon " Regina said then grabbed her coat and walked to the officers car .
When they arrived to the station there was a familiar pick up truck that belonged to David and an army truck " what the he'll is going on ?" Regina said to the officer who kept quiet and walked into the station .
In a conference room there was two men in army , David who is a detective and his wife Mary Margret. Regina walked in the room and David spoke up " okay Regina is here ..i don't know why but can you tell us what this is about ?!" Mary Margret held his arm to calm him down " why are we all here ?" Regina demanded .
" we are here about Emma " one of the men started but was cut off by David " why is Regina here then ?..she snot the mayor anymore this dosent concern her " Regina furrowed her eyebrows " maybe because she's my ex fiance David ..what does Emma concern you Mary Margret ?" Regina sassed " I'm her mother ! Please tell me what's going on " Reginas eyes widened " what ?!" David cut everyone off " this can wait until after. Now please tell me what's going on with my daughter " the older man stepped forward with a folded American flag " Emma Swan has been missing in action for seventy two weeks , presumed dead ...im sorry " he handed the flag to Mary Margret who sobbed into her husband .Regina ran out of the station as fast as she could ignore David calling after her , she rushed home and burst through the door .
" Mom is that you ?" Henry called from the sitting room , she had gone completely pale and noticed Roland and Robin " Regina?" Robin started but Regina ran into the kitchen " boys stay here okay " the two boys nodded and Robin went after Regina and shut the door " what's going on " Robin asked turning Regina around to face him , she had tears streaming down her face " she's gone .she smissing in action Robin they said she's d-dead" Regina barley got the last bit out before a sob ripped through her chest " Jesus ...Regina I'm so sorry i-im here if you need me " Robin said hugging her " Robin ..i kicked her out ..i told her she was never going to see her son again .I'm a horrible person !" Regina cried " shhh your not love , things happened it's no-one fault " Robin was trying to soothe Regina but it wasn't working " Henry is never going to know his other mother because of me " they heard a creek from behind Robin and looked up to see Henry standing there "I have another mom...and she's dead " his eyes glasses over and Regina couldn't find the words " no bud she's not dead , just lost " Robin tried to say "I'm sorry Henry it's all my fault ..i told her to leave " Regina said trying to reach out for Henry but the young boy took off out the front door " don't worry ..he can stay with me tonight " Robin said giving Regina one last hug before leaving .
Regina sat in her office drinking a bottle of scotch going over that day in her head .
Regina was now putting Henry who was four years old down for a nap when she heard a knock on the door . She walked down the stairs and opened the door not expecting to see who she saw " Emma ..." Regina gasped out utterly shocked at who was standing in front of her .
" Hi " Emma said with an awkward smile , Regina was so glad to see Emma but remembered she left .She walked away from her family to join the army " what are you doing here" Regina asked a littler more stern than before " I came home " Emma said unsure of herself , Regina scoffed "you made it quite clear this wasn't your home when you left Emma! You chose the army over your own family" Regina folded her arms "i- Regina i know I made a mistake by leaving you and Henry ..i called every month to see how he was doing and you never picked up , so I came home ...i have a choice to stay here or go on a four year long mission " Emma said looking for any sign of Forgiveness on Emma's face but Regina pulled off her engagement ring and put in Emma's hand " then go " she said coldly, Emma was taken aback and her eyes glassed over
" w-what ?" Regina folded her arms " a year Emma ! You left . You weren't here when he was up all night when he was sick or when he fell and broke his arm . Or when he got bullied for liking to play tea party and read comics I was ! We didn't need you then and we don't now ..so go and don't bother calling because as far as I'm concerned Henry only has one mother " and then she shut the door in Emma's face .
Emma stepped down the the steps of her old home holding tightly onto the engagement ring Regina handed back to her " I'm sorry " was all she crocked out before walking away and down the pathway back to her yellow bug and driving off .
Regina slid down the side of her desk and sobbed , slamming that door in Emma's face was the worst mistake she ever made .
