12: Cheating and Lies

Rainbow Dash's POV:

Recap: I was cut off with a hug.

"S-Soarin?"

I felt his body heat against mine, making my body warm. His breath tickling my neck also made my cheeks go warm. I heard him mumble something but I couldn't make it out, even if his mouth was already close to my ear.

"What?"

"Lightning Dust..."

"W-what about her?" Stop stuttering, Dash!!"

He felt him hug me closer. Is it my heartbeat am I feeling or is it his? Or ours?

"I'm sorry..."

"F-for what?"

"I thought she could change."

"What? Did Lightning Dust do something?"

"Multiple times..."

"What?"

He breaks our embrace and showed me a picture of Lightning Dust kissing some guy from from our math class. Wow, not only she cheats in tests and games but also in love. She has no shame whatsoever. And just seeing this picture makes my anger rise up to my head. But, for some reason, something at the back of my head is yelling, "Yes! Yes!". Could someone please tell me what's going on?

"Why is she doing this?" I asked.

"I don't know. But that's the fifth guy so far."

"Fifth?!!" I suddenly exclaimed. Luckily that we're the only ones in the hallway so nobody would really pay attention to us. "You mean she has been cheating on you for five different guys?! Did you tell her about this?!"

"Not yet. I told her about the four other guys but, I just saw this last night."

"So you just forgave her like, four times? And you let her remain as your girlfriend? Hey, I know that everyone deserves a second chance and maybe even a third but four times? You can forgive her as much as you want but I don't think she deserves to be your girlfriend anymore!"

"I can't help it. I... love her..."

Suddenly, I felt like, as if, something sharp pierce my chest, and sadness and jealousy(?) filled my brain and heart. Those three words made my eyes go wide. Even if I already knew that he loves her, it suddenly feels like I'm in the verge of collapsing just hearing those words.

"I-I don't know why you still love her after she cheated on you five times, but I think you should stop believing her and find someone better. Because she's just toying with your feelings and seeking fame, thanks to your career. But it's your decision if you still want to stay with her. Just don't blame me if she'll cheat on you with 10 different guys." And with that, I walked away.

~ Next Day ~

Lunch time~!

I ran through the hallway, eager to be with my friends and eat. I'm starving! When I reached the cafeteria, I suddenly noticed that almost all of the students were looking at me with disgusted looks.

I was confused and disgusted by the way they were looking at me. It was as if I ruined their lives and they wanted to throw me into a pit of lions. I have no idea why since I really didn't do anything to the school besides saving them with the others, so it doesn't make sense why are they making these looks. As I made my way to the trays, I looked around and they are watching my every move. What's wrong with these people?!

When I arrived, I was about to get a tray when a hand hit the tray so hard that I jumped. I looked up and see one of Lightning Dust's friends. She was giving me a darker look than what the other students were giving me. Beside her was Gilda and another friend holding a crying Lightning Dust.

"You..." the one who startled me said.

"What?"

"You were the one who stole Soarin from Lightning Dust."

What?

"What do you mean? I didn't do anything!" I'm getting freaked out now.

"You told Soarin that Lightning Dust was cheating and lying to him so that you could have him all to yourself! for some reason, he believed it and broke up with her!"

"What! I'd never do anything like that! I don't even like the guy! And even if I did like him, I'd never steal him from anyone!"

"Liar. You're just saying that because you don't want to admit it and keep Soarin. Well, we all know the truth and half of the school knows what you did. And even if you saved the school a few times, we'll never be on your side, because what you did was unforgivable!" Then she walked away with the others.

I stood there stunned, but anger rising up from the pit of my stomach. I looked at Lightning Dust and saw her smirking  while covering her face. That... ARRRGH!

I gritted my teeth in anger and walked away, scaring the students with my dark glare. I went outside the school and sat on the horse statue. I'm not in the mood to eat anything anymore. This is the last straw.

She's going to pay...
