10: Lightning Dust

Rainbow Dash's POV:

Lightning Dust... I haven't heard from her for a while.

Okay, so let me explain.

Lightning Dust was a friend of mine 2 years ago. We met at soccer practice here at CHS and she was one of the best players there. We became friends whenever the others were busy to hang out. I hang out with her and Gilda for a year until they did something.

I found out that Gilda bullied Fluttershy and called Rarity 'ugly' and that she wears too much makeup that it made her look like a clown. So, after I defended them, she just walked away and called me a party pooper. So after that day, I never hung out with her anymore. It was a bit sad because she was my childhood friend who helped anyone who was being bullied or picked on, just like what I did to her. Hard to believe she is who she is right now.

Next was Lightning Dust, she was awesome. She was awesome! Take note of 'was'.

Lightning Dust was a good friend of mine. She was also the reason why we always won the games so I asked her to train me. She did and we became friends ever since. After about a year, she nearly hit the others with the ball but didn't apologize. She just simply shrugged it off, saying that it was no big deal.

After a few days, I found out that she was also bullying the others so I stopped her. After that, she said that she doesn't want to be my friend anymore. It sucks to lose two of your friends in one month. But I'm more worried about them being together. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be friends, I'm just worried because they're bullies. Who knows what they'll do when they're teamed up.

I really don't understand why they suddenly became that way. They were so kind when I first met them. But then they turned into bullies. Why, though? Maybe I could figure it out since Lightning Dust is back.

~ Time Skip ~

Soccer time. And, as expected, Ligtning Dust is here, along with Soarin of course.

Now the coach are telling us to team up. I'm glad that Lightning Dust and Soarin are at the other team. I wanna see how good she is now.

~Time Skip~ (Soccer's my fave sport but I don't know how it goes)

I took one last gulp of water and went back to the field, still trying to catch my breath. The scores are now 4 - 4. We're tied. I just hope we win this, I don't want to run a few more laps as punishment.

The coach blew his whistle and we started. We did as what we had planned and, at the supposed finish, we were blocked and they now had the ball.

My other teammates tried to get the ball, but Lightning Dust kicked the ball over to Soarin. Soarin got it and was about to kick the ball towards our goal but he accidentally kicked the ball backwards, making its way towards me. I suddenly took the ball and made my way to the goal. I kicked the ball real hard,making it difficult for the goal keeper to catch.

WE WON!!

Hey, I know that we aren't at a real game, but winning feels good right?

We celebrated our victory while the losing team ran around the field as punishment. I glanced over at Soarin and saw that he was staring back at me, a grin apparent on his face. I saw a flicker of amusement in his eyes. I raised an eyebrow. I sensed that he knows something. Then my mind wandered back to why we won.

The way Soarin accidentally kicked the ball back, it was strange. It was as if, he did it on purpose. But why?

I looked at him again and saw him still staring at me. His mouth still curved in an amused grin. After gathering all my thoughts, I'll just presume that he really accidentally kicked it back.

~ Later ~

Woohoo, lunch time! I'm starving!

I grabbed a tray, got some food and sat down on one of the empty tables. As I was waiting for the others, I slowly munched down my food. After about a few minutes, I felt someone sat down next to me.

Try guessing who it is.

If you said Lightning Dust then you get free ice cream. And the honor of putting spiders in her bag.

"Hey, Crash!" she greeted. "Long time no see!"

"What do you want, Lightning Dust?" I grumbled.

"How are your friends?" she put an arm around my shoulders. "Are they, okay?"

"They're great. Made new friends too."

"That's great!" she flashed me the fakest smile I've ever seen in my whole life.

"How's Gilda?"

"Fine. She'll be here in about a week."

Aww, man! Not her too!

"By the way..." she said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "I saw your movie with Soarin..."

"You did?"

"Yep. I imagined myself throwing you to the trash bin whenever I see a kissing scene."

"I just wish you were the one who got that part." Yeah. If I didn't get the part I wouldn't have to experience these strange feelings...

"Yeah I wish."

"What happened to you?" I say out of the blue.

"What do you mean?"

"Why were you suddenly like this? A mean bully."

"Well, it's pretty boring to be like a goody-goody like you. Just seeking out some fun."

"There are a lot of ways to have fun."

"It's much more fun when it comes to bullying."

"I hope you get to experience what being bullied feels like." Oh, I mean it. I wanna see how she'll handle it.

"That'll never happen. I'm too cool to be bullied. And, I don't think you'd be the one who's going to bully me. I'm your idol, remember? Plus, I know you won't do it because you. Are. Too. Nice." she smirked. "Well, I gotta go. Soarin is waiting for me there. See ya later! Buh-bye!" and she walked away, like a model. I hope she trips from her 4 inch high heels.

I sighed and continued munching on my food until the others came to the table.

"Is that Lightning Dust?" AJ asked, pointing at Lightning Dust.

"Yep."

"Her appearance got even more inappropriate. She has no modesty," Rarity comments, her face twisted with disgust.

"Lightning Dust?" Twilight asked.

"An ex friend of mine," I answered. "I suggest you stay away from her. She's horrible."

"Hey, wasn't she the one who tried competing against me at being Miss Canterlot?" Sunset asked.

"Yeah. And I was glad that she lost."

"Why did she come back, anyway?"

"I don't know and I don't want to know anymore."

The others chatted on and on about things while I glanced over at Soarin and Lightning Dust. They've got a lot of people in their table. As I was watching Lightning Dust kick a ball up, I noticed that Soarin was looking at me. My eyes turned to look at him and he waved. Lightning Dust must've noticed because she kissed Soarin, wrapped her arms around his neck and glared at me. Calm down, woman! We were just waving hi to each other, not making kissy faces.

I sighed then went back to my food, joining in the conversation the others are in.
