4: School

Soarin's POV:

"You know, you should buy an alarm clock if you don't want me coming to your room to wake you," I said, looking at the road.

"I forgot to yesterday. Plus, my friends dragged me to Apple Jack's barn," Rainbow Dash said. "And every time I buy one, I always end up smashing it with my mallet."

"Why do you have a mallet anyway?"

"To keep creeps like you away from my room."

"Okay, I won't do it again. I'll buy you a clock."

"Naw. I'll do it myself. I don't trust you."

"Why not?"

"Just in case you put something in it. Like a camera."

"Okay, I'll come with you."

"No. I don't want to be seen by my friends or they'll make the teasing worse."

"Alright."

We arrived at school for 3 minutes. I parked the car and waited for Rainbow to get out.

"Rainbow? We're here," I said.

No answer. No movement.

"Rainbow? Rainbow, are you there?" I shook her shoulder.

Still nothing.

"Rainbow!!"

She jolted up and looked at me with drowsy eyes.

"We got 4 minutes, Dash. Are you coming out or not?" I said.

She rubbed her eyes in a cute way. "I don't get you. First you're all flirtatious, now you're this serious. Who are you really?" she yawned and got out of the car.

I got out and we walked to our classroom with Dash tripping at times.

"What time did you sleep last night?"

"12. Couldn't sleep."

~Time Skip in Rainbow Dash's POV~

"Rainbow Dash! Could you help with this?" Scootaloo said, shoving her math book in my face.

"Can't you use a calculator for this?" I took the book out of my face.

"I don't know... the teacher took our calculators."

"Then use your phone."

"Okay."

I got my hamburger from my plate and took a huge bite out of it.

"Rainbow dear, why did you come late again?" Rarity said and sat at the seat in front of me.

"Woke up late, as usual," I sighed.

"It's a good thing that you woke up before Principal Celestia got you."

"I seriously need to buy an alarm clock today or else that dude will sneak into my room again."

"Yeah, you have to darling-- wait, who is the 'dude'?"

Great... "Uh, no one?"

"Rainbow Dash, who is the 'dude' who was sneaking into your room? Was it a burglar?"

"No. He came to wake me up."

"Oh. Who is he?"

"I prefer not telling you."

"Why not, darling?"

"You'll tease me with no end."

"Why?"

"Just be quiet."
