I woke up to the light streaming into my room.
I pulled the blanket closer to myself. I hated mornings with a passion.

I was about to go back to sleep when I remembered what day it was…MONDAY!!

I shot up and checked the time…it was 7:45am. I had a class by 9:00.

I sighed inwardly and stood up to the bathroom to take my bath.
When I was done, I came out and dressed in a dark blue jeans and a white off shoulder long sleeve dress, then I went to the mirror and looked at myself. What was meant to be a checkout turned out to be a memory.

I looked so much like her; the large eyes with dark brown (almost black) orbs, the small lips, the hair, the complexion, which was a light skin tone.

My mood darkened as I remembered her. I missed her so much. I remember when she used to dress me up for school, cook my fave food, kisses me goodbye.  I loved her so much.
I shook my head out of it, it was excruciatingly painful.

I went to the kitchen, made myself a chicken wrap sandwich with lemon juice. After devoring my breakfast, I headed back to my room. I checked the time again and it was twenty five minutes after 8.

I grabbed my abaya and threw it over my body and rolled a maroon veil. Feeling comfortable, I took my stuffs and went outside were Malam Ibrahim(the driver) was waiting for me.
Dads car was there meaning he hasn't left for work yet.

The thirty minutes drive went by in a blur and before I knew it, we were already there. I sighed in frustration, wanting to just get it over with this day.

"Sai anjima Hajiya".

"Tam Malam Ibrahim, na gode".

I got out of the car and headed to class. On my way, I heard my name being called.

"AFREEN"!!  My friend Zynurb was shouting my name.

Zynurb has been my friend for like forever. We attended the same primary school. We departed in primary 5 and got reunited in ss1. And here we are again, together in college. She's older than me with 3months but she makes it look like 3years. She's one of the craziest person you'll ever meet in ya life, guess that's why we're BFFTLE( best friends forever till life ends)…we're both bunch of weirdos. Sha she's nice.

She was walking towards me and I turned to her with my arms wide open, expecting a bone crushing hug since we haven't seen each other for a whole week. Instead, she hit my arm. Talk about being nice*rolling eyes*

"Ouch" I hissed.
"What was that for?"

"Uhm for starters, that was for switching off ya phone. I am so angry at you. You made me worried sick girl"

She stood there, hands on her hip, scowling. Like a mother scolding her child for eating all the meat in the pot. I just stared at her in utter silence.

And then,she stopped.
She gave me the bone crushing hug I was craving for. I was so lost in her 'bipolarness' that I didn't even respond.

"Are you ohk girl. You look worn out" she asked.

"Sure I am. Have you forgotten, its monday!!" I replied half lying.

"We're running late, i think we should head to class". I said.

With that, she held my hand and we majestically walked into 'the hell hole'.

The day passed by in a blink of an eye Alhamdulillah. I was done with all my classes for the day.
I was standing in the parking lot with zee waiting for Malam Ibrahim to come pick me up. Zee was just waiting for me cause she drives herself home. We were both silent which was unusual, well I was silent. She kept blabbering and I just responded with a smile.
