"Do not kill yourself. Allah is merciful unto you"

(Surah An Nisaa' 4:29)

Afreen was in the kitchen preparing desert when Anty Ruqayya showed up.

"Do you need help with anything Afreen?" she asked.

"No I'm ohkay" Afreen answered dryly.

They haven't been on good terms ever since their little fight. Anty Ruqayya had been in her room some time back to apologize and resolve things between them.

"Afreen, I'm really sorry about everything, I shouldn't have said all those things about you and your husband, I've realized my mistake and I truly apologize," she had said.

"You should have realized it before you let it out and before you accused me. Now I'm married to Abdoul, I love him and he loves me, nothing can change that. So if you'll excuse me..." Afreen had said motioning for the door in a way telling her to leave.

Ever since then, Anty Ruqayya had never brought up the topic again. She tried her best to be on good terms with her but it seems like Afreen is not ready for that.

"Your dad is asking for you, he's in the main living room"

She washed her hands and went to answer her dad's call.

"Assalamu Alaykum" she greeted.

"Wa'alaikumus Salaam. Afreen how are you?"

"Ina wuni Abba (Good Afternoon)"

"Lfya lau, ya kike?"

"I'm fine Alhamdulillah"

"Tam Masha Allah"

"You've been talking with your husband, right?"

"Yes"

"Has he mentioned any plans he has for you?"

"Uhmm no, he said he will inform me when he's ready"

"Ha'an! I don't understand, what do you mean by when he's ready? You need to be with your husband, what's the essence of the marriage when you're not with him. You should talk to him ohkay?"

"Ok dad, I will"

Afreen stood up to leave. Later that day, she brought up the topic she discussed with her father earlier to Abdoul.

"Abdoul, you haven't said anything about my leave"

"What about your leave? I thought we've talked about it, I said I'll get back to you when I'm ready"

"That's what you've been saying. People are wondering why I'm still at home while am married"

"Well what do you want me to do?"

"For starters, you can send the money so that I can start processing my visa"

"You need to hear this Afreen, I didn't want to bother you at first but it seems like you're being persistent, I was offered a business deal and it's really big, I'm telling you"

"Wow, that's great news Abdoul"

"Yeah, but there's a problem, it requires a very huge amount for start-up, and I haven't been able to make any transactions for quite a while now, I don't know what to do Afreen, I really need the money"
