"Uncle Blade, Uncle Andrew" little Elijah called as they exited the helicopter. "Hey buddy does your mum and dad know you're out here?"
Blade asked him.
"Daddy let me come once the blades stopped turning" Elijah explained pointing Blades identical twin out amongst a group of wolves waiting for them.
"Brother wolf" Blade greeted as he shifted back into his human form.
Things were much better between the twins now then they had been two years ago when Thorn discovered he was mated to Blades human wife. They had decided that it was better if Thorn held the role of father to Blades sons and Blade still got to be involved playing Uncle.
"Are we running to the pack house?" Uncle Andrew inquired.
"No some cars are on their way. You're a little earlier than we expected. Eli was just having a ride on my back while Bree got little Ella of to sleep" Thorn explained. "He was a bit excited that were hosting so many guests".
"How is my little grand niece? Uncle Andrew asked as Blade moved away. Despite knowing they were meant to be, seeing Thorn and Bree still hurt.
Thankfully the cars arrived and Blade jumped in with his best friend from childhood Damien. They caught up on each others news and Blade congratulated him on the recent birth of his son. Blade shared some memories from when Harry and Elijah were newborns before falling into silence.
"You'll get to experience that again when you find your mate" Damien commented correctly reading Blades thoughts.
"I don't know if I deserve to find her. I screwed up so much with Bree".
"Don't sell yourself short Blade. We can all see how much you have changed. Plus things happen for a reason. Maybe you got all the boy sperm and Thorn got the girls" he replied laughing at his own joke.
After settling in to the guest rooms. Blade and Andrew met Thorn in his office. "I am glad you are both here. We have furnished the hall to hold the council meeting and moved the communal dining area to the fire pit. You both are the only visitors staying in the packhouse. Everyone else has been assigned guest quarters.
"That's good. I am glad you took my advice. Its best to keep your women and children close to the pack house as well."
"Alpha, two Torrent pack wolves have arrived to secure their Alphas cabin" Thorns beta Mick announced.
"That's fine show them to my mother's old cabin" Thorn directed.
"I thought you were keeping them away from the pack?" Blade asked confused.
"Bree has become close friends with Luna Torrent. They are the only changed Lunas in the country."

"Alpha Brennen. My apologies for the late hour".
Tessa woke to the sound of her stepdads Alpha tone.
"We would have been earlier but unfortunately my daughter has developed motion sickness"
Relieved to find the motion had finally stopped Tessa staggered out of the car before collapsing on the ground. The medication her father had stopped for was making her feel dizzy and dopey.
Quickly lifted into her mother's arms she drifted back into the darkness.
Waking suddenly in a strange bed the next morning, it took Tessa a few minutes to reason that they must of reached the Brennan pack. Still feeling drained from the medication she was happy to be nausea free. The most mortifying part had been when the pharmacy assistant had asked her if there was any chance of pregnancy infront of her parents. Thankfully she had been able to answer No. One of the few times she was grateful that she wasn't getting any and hadn't after breaking up with her Uni boyfriend six months ago.
Looking around she found her bag in the corner and grabbed some fresh jeans, a tshirt and a matching set of bra and underwear. Cute sets were her secret confidence boost, even if she was the only one who got to see them. Quietly trying to not to wake her family, she located the cabins bathroom and had a quick shower.
After drying of she made 3 coffees in her mums coffee pod machine and headed out to the cabins cozy deck area.
She gave both her guarding pack members one each then settled down at the outdoor dining set to enjoy her own.
Using her iPhone to check her emails she switched to facebook catching up on how her friends were doing since graduation.
Suddenly feeling uneasy, the light hairs on her skin lifted. Looking up she nearly jumped out of skin finding her brother Tyson standing over her.
"Shit Ty! You nearly scared the shit out of me." She exclaimed.
"You need to be more aware" he growled. "There is going to be a lot of strange wolves around and your already at disadvantage being human".
"The only reason I am here is for your big moment Ty. But yeah hit me with your speciest bullshit. And mum wonders why I moved away" Tessa yelled at him as she walked back into the cabin and into her room slamming the door.
A few minutes later her mum entered her room after knocking quietly.
"He didn't mean it like that Tessa" she sighed. "He was worried you were at risk".
"Yeah thanks mum. I am heaps better thanks for asking. If it's so damn risky that two guards within metres of me isn't protection enough. Why in hell did you insist I come? Hell why did I bother with all the martial arts and knife training? Because at the end of the day all I am is a weak little human right?"
