Chapter 22: Everything is bound to fall

Hyun Jae's P.O.V:

After I left Taehyung, I went to So Rin's house and left a note.

(The Note)

Dear Mother and Father,

I have left the house, not for good but I don't know when I'll be back. It might be weeks. Don't worry

for me, I'm fine. I needed to leave, when I return I might not remember anything that happened so please

don't not say anything of this, I am not missing. I just had to leave. Please don't try to find me because

you won't. I need some time for me. I'll be back, I promise!

I went back to my house. I explained everything. The next day, I went back to school. Of course, I put

my mask on. I go straight to my locker, when I get everything I need, I close my locker door. I see

Taehyung. I go up to him and say, "I'm back." He looks at me with a smile. "I'm glad you're back. Let's

go to class before we are late." He said. I nodded. We headed to class. After class, he said to me, "I

won't be able to take you to your house after school, I have a dance meeting." "Oh okay, don't worry

about me." I said. He smiled. The whole day was a normal and boring day, except that, I didn't see

Sungjae. "Where was he?" I said to myself. I found Irene and said, "Hey Irene. Where's Sungjae?" "I

don't know he hasn't been here since this morning." She said. "Okay thanks I have to go. Bye Irene." I

said. "Bye Hyun Jae." She said. Everyone was leaving so I decided to do so a well. The way I usually

went was blocked because there was construction. I had to go through an ally. I saw someone on the

ground, wounded. "S- sungjae??" I said. I got closer to him. "What happened to you?" I said worriedly.

"My f-father." He said. "Your father did this to you." I asked. He weakly nods his head. "Why?" I asked.

"Because he found out that you're alive, and I didn't tell him. Hyun Jae, he fell in love with you." He

said. "What?" I asked confused. "He fell in love with you, he didn't care that you were a whole lot

younger than him. He fell in love with you. Not your sister but with you. He wants me dead. Help me."

He said. I nodded and got him up. We headed for my house. I opened the door and laid him on the

couch. "Don't worry you'll get better." I said with a smile. "You're not wounded badly so I will be able

to cure you." I said. I got the bandages and the things I needed to help him. "I feel a bit better." He

said while I was putting the bandage on his arm. "For how long has your father been in love with me?"

I asked him. "To be honest, I have no idea." He said. "Why would he fall for me?" I asked. "I would see

why any guy would fall in love with you, I mean you are unique, pretty and fun to be around with."

Sungjae said. I blushed at his comment. He then gives me a bracelet. "Here. Wear it." He said. I smiled,

I was beautiful. I put it around my wrist. "Thanks." I said to him. He smiled back. "I will come back, I

need to buy food." I said. He nodded. I left the house and went through the ally. I bought the stuff and

when I was heading back. I heard footsteps behind me. I got scared so I began to run. Whoever the

person was caught up and grabbed me. I got knocked out. I woke up. I looked at the person next to

me who was also tied up. I realized I didn't have my mask. When the girl looks at me, her eyes widen

open. "Hyun Jae?" She says. "So Rin." I say back. Then we hear heels. I see a girl. My eyes widen open.

"What are you two doing here?" I asked.
