Chapter 29: Time for healing

One year later:

Hyun Jae's P.O.V:

It's been 1 year. I left home, not because of my broken heart. Well that and I wanted to study

somewhere else. My parents allowed me to transfer schools. I moved to America. I made friends and

was able to live peacefully, drama free. Before I left, both Sungjae and Taehyung wanted me to choose

between them.

Flashback:

I was on my way to the plane when I heard two voices calling me. "Hyun Jae wait!!" I heard. I turned

around and saw Taehyung and Sungjae. "What are you guys doing here?" I asked them. "We need to

talk." Taehyung said. "About? Also make it quick!" I said. "About us three." Sungjae said. I was slowly

getting nervous. "You need to chose, who will you stay with?" Taehyung asks. "Flight 65 is about to

leave in 10 minutes." The speaker said. "Can we talk about this when I come back, I'll miss my flight." I

said. "Just choose." Sungjae said.

End of flashback

Right now, I hope my choice was right. If not, I can't turn back now. I was heading to class when I see

my friend Jennie. "Jennie!!" I said. "Hey Hyun Jae!!" She said. We hugged. "Shall we head to class

bestie!" I said. "Of course bestie!" She said. We smiled and headed inside. Then we were stopped in

the hallway. "Hyun Jae can I talk to you." Mark said. "Sure. Jennie I'll see you in class." I said. She

nodded and left. "What do you want to talk about?" I said. "Hyun Jae, I like you and a lot. Will you be

my girlfriend!" He said. I stand frozen. "I can't, I'm dating someone already." I said. "Who?" He asked.

"He lives in South Korea." I said. "Sorry Mark." I said as I left. I ran to the classroom. I sat down next

to Jennie. "What did he want?" She asked. "Another confession, but like always I tell them that I have a

boyfriend." I said. "You have a boyfriend!" She said. I nodded. "What's his name?" She asked. "I'll tell

you later." I said. "Okay." She said. The classes had begun. During 4th period the principal called me to

the office. I headed straight there. "Ms. Jeon please sit down." Principal Park said. I did as he said. "Your

father needs to talk to you." He said handing me the phone. I grabbed it and put it to my ear.

Phone Call:

Jungkook: Hello

Hyun Jae: Hey Dad

Jungkook: Sweetie, are you safe.

Hyun Jae: Yeah, why?

Jungkook: We need you to return to South Korea, you can bring your friend along

Hyun Jae: Why?

Jungkook: The ex president, he was never dead. He's after you and we need to protect you.

Hyun Jae: (Stays silent) He's not dead.

Jungkook: No, we need you to return as soon as possible
