Insane | Flash-Drive

mori's pov

Walking down the sidewalk of Gary Street had me wondering if I was going to get killed. I heard that there was a lot of violence on this side of town. Even more than where I stay. People has told me horrific stories about the crimes that took place over here. Ran by a gang. Not a usual gang you come to mind, but a more classier and well hidden type of gang. It was around eleven o'clock at night. This isn't the perfect time to be wondering on this side of town, and plus, I'm a lady.

The name is Mori Simmons and the reason why I'm here is to simply deliver a secret flash-drive to some guy who goes by Z. I haven't heard of this guy before, and it kinda threw me off because I knew a lot of people here in this city. From drug dealers to the corrupted folks that control our government. I knew people who were dead and who were alive. So my instincts are up because I have no clue what is in store for me when I find this guy. Who knows, he might be a newcomer?

I walked in the club after flirting with the bouncers a little bit so they could let me in without any hassle. The club was very dark, I could barely see through the low lightening and smoke that was in the air. Somehow, I managed to bump into someone. A guy actually, and when he looked at me his lips formed into a charming smile.

"Well hello there pretty lady," he turned at me, still smiling. "I don't think I have never seen you in here before."

"I'm from the other side of the city," I tell him simply, noticing the way his eyes skimmed me up and down. His tongue swiping over his bottom lip as he did so.

This guy was pretty handsome I must admit. His frame was quite tall yet slender, eyes green, and jawline very sharp. The way his face was structured was fascinating. I also liked his voice, it was kinda nice.

He nodded his head, running a hand through his brown hair with his long fingers that were cladded in silver rings, "Well then, what brings you here?"

"I'm here to see a man named Z," I tell him, hopefully this guy knows something.

Then, he strangely started to laugh like I have told a joke, "There's no one here that goes by that," he tells me.

"Why were you so easy to deny that?" I raise my eyebrow at him curiously. "Obviously you're lying to me."

He stopped laughing after I said that, eyes becoming a bit wide and clenching his jaw, "What do you need?" He asks me.

"I need to see him, didn't I tell you this already?" I sigh with irritation. "Like, come on man."

"Listen," he started walking forward, a mean expression on his face as his body now towered over my own. "I don't know who you are or why you are here, but you need to leave. And if you don't, I swear to god that I'll—,"

"I don't think so baby boy," I laugh straight up at his face, testing him. "You kill me, and I guarantee you that you'll find your family chopped in little-bitty pieces at the bottom of the lake around the corner. And I don't think you want that to happen, do you big fella?"

The man's face slowly changed to a fearful expression, backing away from me. I think he's gotten my message not to fuck with me. You see, I don't like threatening people that I first meet. But he almost tried it with me, and if he did...then my words would have became true.

"Listen," I breathe, giving him a polite smile as I tried to start this conversation all over again. "I just need to find Z, okay? After that then I'll be out of your way and I—,"
