Insane 2 | Extricated

zayn's pov

I was worried, and I was worried sick about Mori. God knows what that woman has been going through for the past two months, yet alone her whole entire life. I could see it in her eyes, and she was depressed. After she had stormed off away from me last week, I talked to the bartender who worked at that club. He told me that she was here almost every night. Drinking her life away or meeting new guys that she left with that same night. It killed me knowing that everything was my fault.

Not once did we ever cross paths after Harry had pretty much disowned the both of us that day. I haven't seen her around my side of the city or even when I was downtown. Both us knew that we weren't allowed on Harry's side of the city. Or else we would've been killed on sight if they found us in that area. Every since that awful day I thought about Mori. Wondered what she was doing and how she was doing. And now that I have seen her again....I knew that she needed somebody to help her out.

So that's why I was in this club again. After a week's worth of worrying I knew that I had to at least talk to her again. Be sure that her head is in the right place. I just wanted to be sure that she didn't do anything stupid and dangerous. I'm near the bar where I was told that she would be. The club was pretty packed and I knew that it belonged to some local gang that I was cool with. People were everywhere and it was quite difficult trying to get a good view of the bar.

So I decided that I would sit at the bar on the far side of it, leaning my back against the wall that was right behind me. I had a good view of everybody who was at the bar and who was coming to sit down. As on cue, I spotted Mori who sported a fake smile on her face as she ordered her drink. Taking a seat at the bar and waiting patiently to have some burning substance down her throat. She looked so gorgeous and unbothered, but I knew that was a mask to hide her true emotions.

"Zayn?" Spoke a faint voice besides me, it made me turn my head because only certain people knew my real name. And knowing that made me calm down to see that it was only Bazzi with a soft frown on his face. "W-What are you doing here?"

"Making sure that Mori is alright," I tell him openly.

"I've been doing that for the past two months," he murmured sitting next to me. "She's a not alright. I'm sorry but, you're a little late."

"I know...I just found out that she comes here almost every night," I say to him.

"She does," Bazzi looked at her. "At the same spot too."

"Harry kicking her out really broke her," I told him softly.

"It broke all of us," he sighed.

I frowned, "Seems like it didn't. No one stood up for her when Harry was going off."

"Harry didn't want to do it, okay? As a leader he had to do what's best for all of us," Bazzi explained to me.

"Vance and Antonio dying was not her fault," I spoke. "She would never put her gang in such a risk. For fuck sake's, we didn't even know that was gonna happen. Give her a break."

Bazzi looked away from me, "I didn't even know the full damn story."

"Harry never told you guys?" I ask confusingly.

"He hasn't told none of us," Bazzi shrugged.

"Wow," I breathed out, soon taking another glance at Mori and my heart dropped. Some guy had his arm wrapped around her neck as he took her out of the club. And from what I was seeing, she was struggling to get out of his grip. "Oh fucking shit, we have to help Mori."

"What?" Bazzi looked in the direction of Mori and quickly hopped down from the booth, seeing what I was seeing. "I'm gonna fucking kill that bastard."

"Go around the back now," I ordered and he nodded his head before he dipped outta here.

I ran out the club as quickly as I could. Pulling my gun out once I saw the man who was practically dragging Mori across the sidewalk. The girl was screaming for help and hitting him, but he kept dragging her to a car. He opened the door and pushed her inside. She screamed for somebody to help her when he tore the bottom part of her dress off, unbuckling his own pants. And when I saw him opening her legs I knew that I had to do something quick.

When I was about to run up Bazzi came out of no where. He snuck up behind the man and swung his gun at the back of his head. Resulting him to fall down while holding where he felt pain the most. Bazzi kicked him over and over again until blood was coming out his mouth.

I pulled my gun back and pushed it underneath his chin as I crouched near him, "I should blow your brains out of your fucking head."

"Do it, and you're dead," he laughed, coughing up more blood. "Do it fag! I dare you!"

"I'm already a dead man walking you piece of shit," I spat standing up, looking down at him in disgust.

"Fuck you!" He yelled out.

I gave Bazzi the nod. He then pointed his gun and fired right at his face. Causing pieces of his head and blood to spatter everywhere.

Looking up I saw Mori shaking and crying in the car. I went over to her and helped her out of it, feeling her body tremble against mine. She hugged me tight and cried in my chest.

"Mori..are you okay?" Bazzi asked her worriedly, but she just kept on crying in my chest.

I gave him a certain look, "I got her. You should go home before anybody sees this."

He wanted to interject, it was all over his face, "But I—,"

"Please Bazzi," I pleaded with him softly. "I'll take care of her, I promise."

"Okay," he nodded before looking at Mori who was crying then at me before he jogged away from the scene.

"Come on Mori, I got you love. I'm gonna take you somewhere safe," together we walked to my car slowly. I helped her in the passenger seat, making sure she was okay before I got into my side. And during the car ride to my place I just prayed that everything would be okay for this broken woman.
