She's Mine

Chapter 6

Alec's P.O.V

I am so mad at myself. Clary seemed so angry at me yesterday. I shouldn't have kissed her out of nowhere. I should have asked her first. I feel really bad about that. I need to find her and apologize right away.

Now Jace has the chance to win the bet! I never told him this, but I was always jealous of him. He always got everything, popularity, charm, pretty girls and handsome boys drooling over him, I always felt that everyone liked him better than me. I was always the shy, quiet boy and Jace was always the confident, cocky boy.

I trudged downstairs to eat breakfast, knowing that Clary would be there. I hope she will give me a chance to apologize. As soon as I stepped into the kitchen, I made eye contact with Clary. "Clary, I wanted to say sorry for what happened yesterday. It wasn't my intention to hurt you! I just really like you and-"

"It's ok," she interrupted me. "That just reminded me of an unpleasant memory."

Just then, Jace came downstairs talking with Isabelle. "How was the date?" He questioned.

"Uhhh... it was good!" Clary said, faking a smile. I could tell that Izzy believed her, but Jace didn't.

"I am going to make all you guys toast." I said while getting out the toaster.

"Oh yeah I almost forgot!" Clary suddenly exclaimed. "My best friend from L.A is moving here because he got a good job offer. His name is Simon and I think you guys will like him. He is also single!" She winked at Izzy and turned to me. "He is the one I was telling you about that likes Manga.  He can talk to Max about it. He is arriving here tonight!"

We all ate our toast and went back to our rooms.

~Simon arrives at the Institute~

Isabelle's P.O.V

Clary's friend has arrived. She said that I would like him. I went to see him. He had dark brown hair and had glasses. He was wearing a Star Wars shirt and jeans. I thought he was quite cute. "Hi my name is Isabelle but you can call me Izzy!" I said, extending my perfectly manicured hand out to him.

"Hi-i-i," He responded, seeming to fumble over that word. It must be from seeing me. People say that I look intimidating. "My name is Simon. Nice to meet you. I'm a vampire." He shook my hand. Clary was right. I do like him already.

Clary's P.O.V

I'm so glad that Simon is here! I missed him so much. He and my mom are the only people close to me that know about the Sebastian thing. I can tell he and Izzy both like each other. They seem to get along well.

All of a sudden, someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into the weapon's room and locked the door. I turned around and saw it was Jace. I blushed. Why do I keep doing that?! "How was your date with Alec?"

"Uhhh... I told you it was good!" I said to him, plastering a fake smile on my face again.

"I know you are lying. Can you please tell me what happened?"

"Fine, but I already forgave have because I felt bad. He forcefully started kissing me and that brought on a painful memory! Is that what you wanted to hear?!" I yelled at him and felt tears in my eyes.

"It's ok. It's ok. I'm sorry I asked you that. Can I hug you?" he whispered to me. I nodded and felt his strong arms wrap around me. We stayed like that for several minutes. When I pulled away I started blushing like crazy.

"Thanks for the hug. I really needed that." I said to him.

"Anytime beautiful," He responded, winking at me.

"Well I have to go catch up with Simon now. See you later!" I hurried away. I just couldn't resist his charms! Uhhh! Jace Lightwood what are you doing to me?!
