(So, I learned in the last chapter what a fucking idiot I am.)

The gentle clicking of hooves soothed me as I held onto Link. I swayed with every step and fell asleep on his shoulder holding on tightly.

Link turned back finding (Y/n) asleep, he gently stopped Epona and looked up at the starry night sky. When they were leaving Kakariko the sun had been set. It was no wonder (Y/n) was tired, but they had to continue. Link made sure (Y/n) was safe atop Epona. Link sat (Y/n) in the saddle, leaning forward on Epona. He took her reigns and began to lead Epona instead.

"(Y/n)?" I opened my eyes and looked around finding a tall figure in front of me. "(Y/n), we are executing a prisoner." He said gently, I blinked. "Why?" I asked. "I ordered it." I sighed and frowned. "But ___ you can't do that. That's not right." Why couldn't I remember his name? "Please (Y/n), understand that this is for your safety." What was his name? "Who is it?" I asked looking at him. He ducked his face from my view. "Hakim." I stood with wide eyes. "Hakim is so young, have mercy. He is only my age." The figure turned around and grabbed my shoulders. I could see his eyes, fogged and cloudy. "There are reasons I do things (Y/n)." He snapped. "You need to learn your place among the royalty." I glared and slapped him. "If you want to compare me as something like my ancestors you are wrong." I snarled, he pulled back into the shadows. "(Y/n) I didn't mean it like—"
"No." I hissed. "If you see me like that then I'm leaving." With that I stormed away angrily, hearing the cries of him. He sure could by pouty.

I sat outside in a large cloak. I couldn't see my body for some reason. I traced my hand along the metal below me with a frown. That's why I loved the color green, it was rarely seen. I heard the sound of footsteps behind me and turned to see him. What's that he has in his hands? I saw liquid slowly drooling down his hand, horror consumed me as I stood. "It's done (Y/n)." He whispered as the black liquid dropped to the ground. "I've come to.. apologize." He murmured and dropped his head. "I didn't mean to offend you in such a way. I want your trust and your affection (Y/n). I never meant to harm you." I frowned and looked down. "Well you did ___ and you made me feel like less to you. You know how I feel about being treated like that." He sighed and nodded. "I know, I know.. it's just that.. this world is so mad and insane it's hard not to punish people for their mistakes." I looked at him frowning. "What if I made a mistake that was unforgivable?" I asked. "Would you still be my friend?" I asked quietly. I could sense a smile. "(Y/n), you'd still be my best friend." He then took my hands, the blood dripping down my wrists. "And if I were to make a mistake that was unforgivable?" He asked. "I'd hit you, but you'd still be my best friend."

I awoke to the clunk and shudder of a bridge. I sat up and yawned, the bridge lit by the moonlight. Link turned back to me and smiled. "Have a nice nap?" He asked. I smiled and nodded. My hands felt wet, I looked down to see the black blood still. I gasped and panicked. "Link!" I croaked showing him my hands. He saw my hands and tilted his head. "What?" He asked, I looked down seeing it gone. "Nothing." I said quickly. "Thought there was a bug on it." I mumbled. "You? I didn't know you're scared of bugs." I blinked. "Uh, yeah." Link smirked at me. "Good thing you don't have wolf senses. Those light bugs are disgusting." We crossed the bridge and entered Orodon village. "(Y/n)?" Link asked looking at me,

"Yeah?" I asked looking around. "What was your dream about?" He asked softly. "I heard you crying." I blinked and put a hand against my face. Trailing the almost dried tears on my cheek I frowned. "I had a memory, that's all." I said softly. "Someone died, that's all." Link nodded and smiled. "I'm sorry." He said quietly as we walked across the bridge. Bo ran outside hearing Epona, his eyes widened. "Link! (Y/n)! You're alive. How did you do it?" He asked helping me off of Epona.

Bo led Link and I inside quickly. "It's so good to see you two." He said smiling. Bo led us to his back room that had two beds. "We found and rescued the children. They're in Kakariko village." Bo blinked. "All the way over there?" He murmured and smiled. "That means you found Ilia too, right?" Link froze at that question and slowly looked down. I grabbed Link's shoulder. "We couldn't find her yet, now that all the others have been determined safe she is our number one priority." I said simply. Link nodded as I smiled. "But, we're really tired." Bo nodded and smiled. "Of course. You can have these two beds. I have another room." With that Bo left us be. Link smiled at me. "Thank you (Y/n)." I shrugged and walked over to one bed, taking off my sword. "Of course Link." I said softly, taking off my boots. He did the same at the other bed. "No really, thank you." I smiled at him. "Link, it's the least I could do." I said laying back. "Okay, whatever you say (Y/n)."
