Link ran up the stairs, panting and burnt. He looked like a mess, his blonde hair snarled as dirty. Sand in every crevice of his body. He needed a good shower, that's for damn sure. But, out of everything that had been dimmed his eyes still held that ocean blue. He leaped across and saw a statue of a snake woman in the middle of what looked like a colosseum. Link turned around slowly, seeing chains that dug inside of the sand. At the base of the statue lie (Y/n). He ran over to her quickly, sliding onto his knees in the sand and holding her. "(Y/n)!" He whispered shaking her. He realized her hair was braided neatly. The girl's eyes slowly cluttered open as she stared at Link. Link sighed softly and hugged her tightly. "I thought I lost you."

I opened my eyes to Link. He was a mess, wide blue eyes that searched me with worry. "Hey, woah." I whispered softly as he hugged me. "I thought I lost you." I hugged him back tightly. "Link, no, I'm okay." I said softly as he sat me up. "Zant didn't do anything, he just left me here I guess." Link sighed and pressed his face into my neck. "I thought I lost you, (Y/n), I thought he was going to kill you." Link whimpered and I realized he had began to cry. "Hey, Link, I'm okay. Look at me. Zant didn't do anything. I'm perfectly fine." I said holding onto him tightly. "I just don't want to see you dead. I..." Link looked at me and swallowed. "I really like you (Y/n)."

I smiled at Link and wiped away his tears. "I like you too." I murmured, Link nodded. "Okay (Y/n), I have to finish this. I have to open the mirror." I stood, hand in hand with Link. He took out a new tool proudly. "It's called a spinner." He said. Link sat me on it and leaped on. We rode up the statue. "Whoever named this was running out of cool names." I said turning to Link as he shrugged. We landed in the middle and began to raise the mirror. Instead of the mirror was one piece, three other pieces seemed to be missing. "What?!" Midna snapped. We all go back down to inspect it. Midna screams and began to cry.

I kneeled down and grabbed her. "Midna, hey, we'll find a different way." She growled and glared at the mirror. "Fuck!" She snarled. Suddenly the area filled with a calming yet uneasy presence. I looked up and gasped, Link looking around. "It's okay." He said quietly. "They're spirits."

"A dark entity lurks in the twilight. It houses an evil power. You who are guided by fate. You who possess the crest of the goddesses, hear us. At the command of the goddesses we sages have guarded the mirror of twilight since ancient times. You seek it but the mirror of twilight has been fragmented by mighty magic. That magic is a dark power that only he possesses. His name is Gannondorf. He was the leader of the band of thieves who invaded Hyrule in hopes of establishing dominion over the land of Hyrule. He was known as the demon thief and evil magic will the renowned for his ruthlessness. But he was blind. In all of his fury and might he was blind to any danger and that's what had him expose, subdued, and subjected to death. Yet... by some divine prank he, too, had been blessed with the chosen power of the gods." Around the six sages was one, empty pillar. They moaned sadly and shook their heads.

"His abiding hatred and lust for power turned to purest malice. Perhaps that evil power has been passed on to Zant..." Midna sputtered from her place on the broken mirror. "You're just now figuring out where is the and got his power?! It's far too late..." She said her eyes drifting to me. I sighed and looked at Link. "Only the true leader of the Twili can utterly destroy the mirror of twilight so... Zant could merely break it into pieces." I looked up and frowned. "Once broken by magic the mirror of twilight became fragments which even now lie hidden across the land of Hyrule. One is in the snowy mountain heights, one is in an ancient Grove, one is in the heavens you who have been sent by the goddesses you should be able to gather three pieces. But, you must be prepared for a dangerous power resides in those fragments." The spirits whisper and vanished.

"So," I said slowly and turned to Link. "What they're saying is... we put the mirror back together again? Like Humpty Dumpty?" Link sighed and nodded. "Like that but evil I guess." He said and looked me over with a sigh. "I'm so happy you're not hurt. You don't even know. What even happened?" He asked. I smiled happily. "Well, Zant just kinda made me go to sleep for some reason. Then it went to my mother braiding my hair, when really it was my best friend." Link sucked in a breath.
