I followed Link, leaping into the waterfall. As soon as I hit the water my body changed again. The current pulled Link and I down the rapids. I slammed my head against the rocks harshly. Blood started to pour out of the gash and I was feeling tired. I closed my eyes under the swirling water.

"Hey. (Y/n)." I opened my eyes seeing Midna above me. "I patched up your head, your hand is fine now so I used to wrap from that." I blinked slowly and nodded. "You and Link both got knocked out. He hit you after you hit the wall." I grunted and slowly sat up. Link lay beside me unconscious. I gently shook him awake. He shook his head and stood. I followed suit, standing and turning to the mouth of a cave. "So, we go there." I murmured softly as Link started padding inside. I followed him slowly. We stood on the edge, looking at where the spirit would reside. "I am the last of the spirits of light consumed by the twilight. Hero, chosen one of the gods. You have done well to make it this far. Gather my scattered tears of light that were stolen by shadow." With that, Link and I walked out ready to find the tears.

Midna was absolutely livid. After finding all but one tear, she was about to loose it. "Where in the hell is that stupid tear?!" Midna tore Link's map from my hands. She blinked once. "What?" She breathed and quickly warped us back. We materialized on the bank of Lake Hylia. In the water something large moved around, knocking away the wood that was floating. "There it is!" Midna said, Link launching himself in the water. My pendant pulsed and suddenly everything around me switched to black and white. Where the water was? A giant mass. Link must see it too by the way he growled. With a sigh I leaped into the water and followed Link, propelling myself happily. After realizing how my newfound powers function, I learned I have gills to breathe underwater. They're pretty cool and they filter the water into air so I can breathe, but I guess that's how gills work. I can swim now too, much better. I blinked and kept swimming, keeping my eyes on Link. I couldn't see much.

We crawled onto the wooden platforms and looked around. Something from underneath swam around and flew up. I let out a shriek of fear. A big, fat, flying bug was in front of us. Link growled, unbothered by the bug. "What the—"
"Duck!" Midna snapped as it flew towards us. I did as told and ducked. It stopped for a moment and Link took his chance to leap. He clawed onto the monster and began to bite, I started to stab it. Let's face it, bugs just creeped me out. I began to shoot arrows at it, making sure not to miss. It fell into the water and Link obliterated it. Finally, the last tear was retrieved and we were sent back to the spirit.

The light was returned to the spring, all twilight vanished and we were back to human. Link stood beside me smiling. "Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded as he pulled away the bandages to my head. "Huh, all healed." He murmured and put them away. I traced my head and smiled. "Yeah." Link then giggled a bit. "You were really scared of the last tear, you can see them too now?" I nodded. "I guess I can." I looked up to see a large water serpent staring down at us. "Sorry," I mumbled softly.

"My name is Lanayru. Your efforts have at last resort each of us like spirits in Hyrule. Old hero chosen by the gods. The dark power that you seek. It waits in a temple set in the bed of lake Hylia. But before seeking you must now bear witness to something and never forget it. You must know that it was the will of the goddesses that we lock away the for bidden power. When chaos ruled the world the goddesses descended and gave order in life to the world. They created a secret realm and left this world, leaving war to ravage Hyrule as people searched for this realm. Among those living in the light interlopers who excelled at magic appeared wielding powerful sorcery. They tired to establish dominion over the sacred realm. It was then that three lights spirits were made to seal away the great magic those individuals had mastered. You know this magic, it is the dark power you seek. The Fused Shadow. Oh hero chosen by the goddesses be aware that those who do not know the danger of wielding power will, before long, be ruled by it. Never forget that. The dark power that you seek is within the sleeping lakebed temple in Lake Hylia." Link nodded slowly and looked at me. "You ready to save the prince (Y/n)?" I smirked and nodded. "Of course I am."
