Link and I walked inside and down the staircase finding a sinkhole inside. We walked into the sand, I gasped finding myself sink down. "Quicksand!" I hissed grabbing onto Link. He pulled me onto a ledge. I followed him through the quicksand and to a door. It was locked so Link suggested I stay as he quickly went to open it. "(Y/n)! Look!" Link exclaimed as a tiny skeleton rose from the ground and attempted to attack Link. He quickly killed it and pulled on the lever. The door opened and I giggled. "It was pretty cute." I said and walked through. Inside the door was a staircase. We climbed it and found oil sitting beside it. Link got some and went into the next door finding it pitch black. Tiny skeletons rose and we sliced them down, Link lit two torches and we slowly walked into the next door. Inside were four fires lit and an open door. "Hey! Easy access!" I said happily, running ahead of Link as he slowly walked forward. "(Y/n), be careful. We don't know what's in here." He said, my eyesight flickered to black and white. In front of me we're four lanterns floating above the flames.

In reality they where ghosts that spotted me. One lunged and I pulled out my sword to swing, nothing happened. Instead I was hooked around the waist and dragged towards the door. "Link!" I screamed striking the poe. "(Y/n)!" He called running after me, trying to grab me. I reached out, screaming. Link's hand brushed my fingertips and I was dragged away into the darkness. I panicked and stabbed at the poe. I heard the door slam and Link hollering my name. "What are you going to do to me?" I snarled at the poe as it dragged me through the prison.

It carried me out the door and into the night, beside a large statue of a snake woman. "Drop her." A voice commanded. The poe released me and fled laughing. I scrambled to get up, seeing a cloaked figure above me. "Now that she's out of the way it'll be easier to kill the hero." I slowly looked up and saw Zant. He walked towards me, I backed into the copper statue. "Hello (Y/n)." He said looking down at me. "Let's make sure you won't be getting away anytime soon." He said and snapped. I was bound in darkness, it wound right around my arms and bound my feet. "That's better. Now, sleep (Y/n)." Zant snapped as my head dropped and I felt a weight behind my eyelids. "It'll be easier, time will fly by." I closed my eyes, tears escaping as I realized I would die.

As soon as (Y/n) fell asleep Zant smiled softly and turned to finish his work. He shattered the twilight mirror and scattered it throughout Hyrule. With a sigh Zant grabbed (Y/n)'s body and her in his lap. Zant took off his helmet and looked around before rolling up his sleeves. He took strands of (Y/n)'s hair gently, making sure he wouldn't pull.

My hair was being woven together. I looked up and saw my mother. She had longing red eyes that stared down at me and milky white skin and painting designs that could've been an illusion. "Mama?" I whispered softly. "Don't move dear, I don't want to pull." I turned my head back and grunted as she pulled. "When's Daddy gonna be home?" I asked, an odd fear bubbling in my chest. "Soon, dear." Mother's voice faltered for a second, dropping lower before rising. "Am I safe, mama?" I asked quietly. "You're always safe with me, my dear." I sighed and closed my eyes as she braided my hair. "Is this the tradition?" I asked. "It is. I know you lost your memories, dear, but it'll be all over soon. The king has claimed his throne and will soon claim this land for his master." I blinked and turned to look at my mother. She was no longer there, just a frail boy.

He had red tousled hair and painting on his face. He wore a black cloak that was rolled up to his sleeves and had designs. The boy smiled shyly at me as he braided my hair. "Sorry to startle you, I just thought that you would appreciate a change to your style." He said. "Who are you?" I asked looking into his grey eyes. "You don't recognize?" He asked hurt before sighing. "I'm... I'm your best friend. Uh, Rocky?" He asked quietly. I smiled at him and turned my head to face forward. "If you're really my best friend, tell me something only he'd know." Rocky sighed and leaned forward. "You're in love with the hero."
