Brendon drives me home after dinner. We got stuck in traffic. I pick at my phone case. "Hey," Brendon said to get my attention. "Yeah?" I say. "I'm sorry about your dog." Brendon said. "I just wish I could have another one." I say. Brendon didn't reply. "If I had a puppy to take care of, they would be fluffy and have tan fur. I would name them Poncho." I say. "That's a cute puppy." Brendon said. I smiled. We finally arrived at my apartment. We got out and Brendon walked me to the door. "Thank you for taking me out to eat." I say. "You're welcome. What time do you want me to pick you up to go to Lora's sister's house to baby sit?" Brendon said. "Some time around 8 because she has to leave for work at nine." I say. "Okay, see you then, Rye." Brendon said. I hugged him and he hugged me back. He kissed me on the cheek. We both pulled away from the hug. Brendon walked back to his car. I walked inside my apartment. I got to my room and change into pajamas. I wiped my makeup off with a wipe. I sit down on the couch beside Lora. She stared at me and hugged me. I cried into her shoulder. I pulled away from the hug. "I bet Casper was a good dog." Lora said. "He was. He was a really good boy." I cry. Lora wipes my tears. "Come on, lets get you in bed. You have to be up early to go to Sarah's house." Lora said. I nod. I get up and go to my bed. I toss and turn all night. I eventually fell asleep. I wake up to the sound of my alarm on my phone going off. I turn my alarm off and get up. I shower and get dressed. I put on joggers, my converse, and a low cut tank top. I grab my phone and wait on the couch for Brendon to get me. Just then, my phone buzzed.
Brendon: I'm here.
Me: Okay, omw
I make my way to Brendon's car and get in. I give him directions to Sarah's house. "How are you feeling?" Brendon asked. "Like absolute shit." I say. Brendon sighed. We arrive at Sarah's house. We get out and I ring the doorbell. "Hey Rye. Who's this?" Sarah asked me. "This is my friend, Brendon. Brendon this is Lora's sister, Sarah." I say. "Nice to meet you." Sarah said. Brendon just smiled. Sarah invites us in. "You know what to do. You've done this thousands of times before. I'll be back at twelve." Sarah said. She leaves and Brendon and I go to find Kaycee. "Rye!" Kaycee said. "Hey Kaycee!" I say and pick her up. "Is that your boyfriend?" Kaycee asked. I laugh. "No, this is my friend, Brendon." I say. "Hey, Breadbin!" Kaycee said. Brendon laughed this cute laugh. "Hey Kaycee." Brendon smiled. I put Kaycee down and she ran to the couch and sat down. "Breadbin come here." Kaycee said. Brendon walked over to Kaycee. She patted the couch beside her. "Sit." She said. Brendon sat down beside her and they watched Bubble PAW Patrol the whole time Brendon and I baby sat. Sarah came back home and Brendon and I left. "That was fun." Brendon said. "I bet, Breadbin." I laughed. "Hey! She's six! She doesn't know how to pronounce my name." Brendon smiled. We stopped for lunch. We headed back to my apartment. "Lora, I'm home." I say. No response. "Lora!" I yell for her. Still no response. She was probably out. We sit down on the couch and watch T.V.
