Chapter Ten

Brendon and I arrive/ back at my apartment. Lora wasn't home. Brendon and I sit on the couch and make out. I rest my forehead on Brendon's. He gets a call and he answers it. "Hey, Brendon, are you on your way home?" It was Dallon. "No, I'm going to be a week late." Brendon said softly. "Did your flight get cancelled?" Dallon asked. "I gotta go." Brendon said. "Brendon, I swear if you hang up this phone I'm gonna-" Brendon hung up. I was sitting on Brendon and my legs were wrapped around his waist. "I love you so much." I say. "I love you too." Brendon smiled at me. Lora comes home. "Hey, look at you two." Lora said. "Where did you go?" I ask. "My boyfriend and I went to go eat dinner." Lora said. "Oh, where did you eat?" I ask. "That's beside the point. You two are so cute together." Lora said. "Lora, I have to tell you something." I say. "Are you pregnant?" Lora asked. "What? No. I'm going to live with Brendon in California." I say. "I'm so happy for you." Lora said. "You're not mad or upset?" I ask. "Well I'm sad to see you leave, but I'm happy for you. I'm always going to support you, Rye." Lora said. "Thank you Lora." I say. Lora smiles and goes to her room. Brendon and I go to my room and lay in my bed. We began to make out. "I missed you." I say. "I missed you too." Brendon smiled. We fall asleep. When I wake up, Brendon was running his fingers through my hair. I look at him. Good morning." I say sleepily. "Good morning beautiful." Brendon said. I blushed. He was humming something. It was But It's Better If You Do. I hum along with him. "That song is how I was able to hear your amazing voice, Rye. I love that song for that reason." Brendon said. I kiss him. "We should start packing my stuff." I say. "Yeah," Brendon said. We laid there. We laughed at our failure to get up. We finally get up and I play music on iTunes, which mostly consisted of Panic! At The Disco. We packed my stuff into bags and boxes. Ready To Go [Get Me Out Of My Mind] started to play and we started to dance. We got up close to each other. My chest was pressed up against his. "You're such a pretty thing." He sang to me. "To be from anyone." I sang to him. "A vision with nowhere to go." We sang in unison. Brendon kissed me. "So tell me right now." Brendon sang to me. "You think you're ready for it." I sang to him. "I wanna know." Brendon sang. "Why you got me going." I sang to him. I kissed him passionately. I rested my forehead on his. Our breath was mingling. I smiled at him and he smiled at me. "I can't wait to get you alone in my house." Brendon said. "Oh? And why is that?" I ask. "You know why baby." Brendon said. "I like it when you try to act sexy towards me." I say. We continue to pack. We had packed most of my room by the time it was five in the evening. I was sitting on Brendon while we watched Netflix. Gizmo was asleep beside us. "I love you." I whisper to Brendon. "I love you too." Brendon whispered back. I kissed his cheek. Lora walked out of her room. "I can't name a more iconic duo." Lora said to us. I smile at her. "I'm really going to miss you when you're gone." Lora said. "I'm going to miss you too." I say to her. I get up and hug my best friend. I began to cry. I was leaving my best friend in less than a week.
