So here I am, forty-five minutes later, pulling up at the Drive way of the Gold's resident. My God this place is huge. I have to give Nigerians that though these people know how to flaunt their wealth. I mean I am standing in the driveway of a two storey mansion and in the right neighborhood too. I'll say Tola has done well for herself but damn what do they need this much space for!!! I swear I can even get married in their backyard with my over five hundred guests.....I just need to find a husband first **laughs at self** .

"Ahhhhh"

An excited scream brought me out of my head as I stepped on the porch  about to move towards the door. And guess who it was, Tola standing in front of me spotting an Ivory chiffon maxi dress with a golden neckline and knee length slits on both sides of her dart lines.

"I can't believe you are actually here I thought you were going to bail"  she said in a sing song voice.

Wow I have never seen anyone this excited to see me but then again this is Tola we are talking of.

"Come lets go inside you won't believe who is  here". She said again  being all jumpy.

"Lord this can't be good there wasn't supposed to be any mutual acquaintances today I was supposed to blend in the background" I said to myself in a low voice.

I should have just taken my mum's arrival as a sign that I am not meant to come out tonight. Ow well i am already here might as get it over with.

I stood straight and fixed a smile as I let Tola lead me towards a bunch of people.

"Guys guess who is here" Tola said pulling on the shoulder of the closest person in the group to get their attention to us.

However as he turned and recognition struck me, my mouth suddenly went dry, my eyes widened and I am pretty sure I am frozen in place.
It was like my body was moving on its own as I raised my hands to wave in greetings;

"hiiiii" I said with an uncontrollable grin stuck to my face. Curse my stupid self; I only ever get this nervous around  him and the idiot knows it I wish I can just wipe that smug smirk off his face. I am soo going to kill Tola I don't even care that she is pregnant.

"Well look at you Gbemi how long has it been?" He said a hint of excitement in his voice.

"Too long if you ask me Femi and how have you been?" I said finally regaining my senses.

Femi is an old friend we went to high school together but I never really noticed him he was really just one of the thirty other faces I had nothing to  do with in class. (Yeah I kept to myself a lot.)

It does makes you wonder how a person gets nervous around someone you never even noticed. So ordinarily the plan was you get out of high school with the belief that you'll probably never meet half of your classmates again especially those ones whom you have nothing to do with, that is; the category Femi naturally fell in or so I thought. I still remember how we met again.

It was in law school....... I was having one of those off days I woke up late and therefore, I was late to class I barely even made it to roll call. Like that wasn't enough I managed to get myself into an awkward situation when the lecturer asked me a question severally and I was lost to oblivion and when it finally registered i had absolutely no idea of the answer....so that was pretty much an off day for me. However; by lunch time I thought my day was beginning to look up special thanks goes to that hot guy that manages the restaurant .
So I was in my own world jejely enjoying my daily dose of eye candy oooo thats how this person from nowhere just showed up and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
