Everet and Cassius grabbed several bags from the back of the carriage, throwing them to the rest of us. All except Timothy that is. Once Cassius had chucked one towards me, I took the liberty to take a quick look inside. It was a brown fabric sack and inside it looked like, snow?

"Why do you have snow in a bag? How do you have snow in a bag?" I questioned Cassius. He spun to face me.

"Look, little lady, this place is pretty crazy. Just abandon anything you already knew, this place is about to redefine everything" he said as he began walking up the main set of stairs. I furrowed my eyebrows, if I did have any misconceptions they were definitely thrown away by the wax beasts. Not, snow in a bag, in summer. The group began walking after the two men, Sophronia hung back, choosing to walk alongside myself instead,

"That thing, the key, the one you used before. How did you get it?" She questioned in a hushed tone. I looked side on towards her, she looked concerned almost worried. I opened my mouth to answer her question, it was the knight from before. But within seconds I shut it, sealing my lips,

Tell nobody you have this, it can open anything, be careful

I was silent for a moment as I pondered. Why would he give me a key that opened anything if he knew we were going to our deaths, then it clicked. He knew, he knew and we weren't supposed to die. But why would they sacrifice people if they knew it wasn't really a sacrifice? Also, why give me a key? What did he mean, it can open anything? Sophronia nudged my arm, sensing I had been quiet for to long,

"I'm not sure, I just woke up and had it" I lied. She gave me a curt nod, continuing to walk up the stairs. I looked up to the top, Everet and Cassius where huddled over a piece of parchment. Once we all made it to the top, they looked up.

"So, slight problem" Cassius spoke.

"You see, we have to get to the green house, it's like home base. But only thing is, we left the door on the other side of the beast infected room" he finished, followed by a wave of confusion on everybody's faces.

"You can not expect us to follow you through that room, no way!" Charles spoke, clearly angered at the situation.

"Yeah, plus, there are so many rooms, and stairs" Will said.

"One of them has to lead to the green house" William finished. I looked to Cassius awaiting his answer.

"Well, kid, out of all these doors only four are unlocked. So that's a no go on the, other doors idea" he said sarcastically.

"That's impossible! There has to be over a thousand doors in this area" Charles shouted again.

"Well then why don't you ask the tower, hmm" he said, gesturing for Charles to speak. Charles looked at him as if he were crazy, and to be honest he did seem a bit.

"Well go on then, ask" he pushed again, that's when Charles spoke. He was hesitant and confused as he spoke,

"Umm, tower, how can I get to the green house from here?" He sounded dramatic and certainly doubted everything Cassius was saying. Then without warning a figure emerged from the wall of the tower, it looked like the torso and head of a skeleton all made of the stone wall, then it began to speak,

"What you look for has two ways, forwards, two doors, right or left, five doors, left" it's voiced echoed, vibrating the floor of the tower as it spoke. I kept staring at it, I didn't blink, didn't avert my eyes. Is the tower...alive? I asked my self. A shiver went down my spine, I clasped my shivering hands together, trying once again to stop the shaking. When the stone figure didn't move, I stepped closer, trying to examine it. I hesitantly moved one foot in front of the other, I was scared, yes, but I was still curious. What if the tower was alive?

"See, there's another way" Charles spoke. I payed him no heed. I heard shuffling on the ground, most likely the others walking to one of the doors the tower had spoke of.

"Well the first one is the weird rat gremlin monster room, but you can check the other for yourself" it was Cassius, still talking in a teasing and provocative tone. I turned to face them then, they were all huddled at the second door, all except for Cassius and myself, who had stayed put.

"It's locked!" Charles shouted from down the hall. Cassius shone a smug smirk in his direction, then without warning the floor began to rumble. It shook and echoed like the sound of horses on a dirt path. I look over and saw Everet's face drop, then from the darkness of the hallway, the rat gremlins appeared. Cassius jumped back, tugging my cloak back with him, I stumbled as I tried to regain my footing. I stared at the wall of monsters that now blocked our path to the others. I turned to Cassius who was rummaging through the bag he carried, the bag of snow. He shuffled around for second, each moment I became more tense, the beasts were creeping towards the others, they hadn't noticed us yet. Then, somehow, a pistol emerged from the bag. Cassius fireside towards the line of beasts that had noticed us and had begun creeping forward,

"Shit! Everet, meet at the master bedroom! Go!" He shouted. Then turned around, grabbed my arm and began to run in the opposite direction, I followed after him, running from the swarm of beasts behind us,

"What the hell!?" I shouted. We ran up a set of stairs.

"What in the hell are these things?" I said between breaths.

"And what are they doing here!?" I shouted. Cassius looked side ways at me, feet still pounding on the floor. I had pushed aside my fear, the constant shaking.

"Well they aren't supposed to be here!" He shouted at me. We turned a corner.

"They live on the fifth floor, in the kitchen. Only problem is, that room got infected with vines, so they migrated. Now they occupy the theatre room!" He yelled, we made another turn, going left. Well he answered one question at least.

"Where are we going!?" I shouted.

"Library!" He called back. Then he gripped my arm, tugging me towards a door to our right. He grabbed the door handle and swung open the massive doors. He pulled my inside, then began slamming himself against the door. I joined him, hoping we could shut it before the beasts caught up. A loud thud echoed throughout the room as the door was slammed shut. I panted, catching my breath.

"So, What now?" I asked, angling my face towards Cassius.

"Let's go" he said and began walking further into the stacks of books.
