Days after I stayed over at John's, I get a call from Jen.

"Jen! Hey girl! What's up?"

"I got you an audition! Can you sing?"

"Um, I don't really know, I only sing along in the car."

"Sing now!"

"Sing what?"

"Hey there Deliah? Price tag? I don't know, just sing!"

"Hey there Deliah, what's it like in New York City?

I'm a thousand miles away, but girl tonight you look so pretty

Yes you do, Times Square can't shine as bright as you, I swear it's true.

Hey there Deliah, don't you worry about the distance,

I'm right there if you get lonely, give this song another listen,

Close your eyes, listen to my voice, it's my disguise, I'm by your side

Oh, it's what you do to me, oh, it's what you do to me,

Oh. It's what you do to me, oh, it's what you do to me, what you do to me."

"You are so perfect for this part! You can sing!"

"What's the part?"

"Pitch Perfect 2, you will be auditioning for a new member of the Bellas."

"Holy crap! I love Pitch Perfect! But do you really think I'll be good enough?"

"Yes. It's tomorrow. Start driving now, come to my house and I'll take you to your audition tomorrow, I'll tell you everything you need to know to get it."

"Ok, thank you, thank you so much. Your amazing!"

I hang up and pack some clothes in my duffel bag and group text my dad and John, 'Jen got me an audition- leaving now, will be back day after tomorrow.'

*********

Driving there, I feel weird, like I'm leaving something behind, how come I'm not excited? I've waited for this for so long. This is my dream...isn't it?...no, it's not. When did it stop being my dream? What should I do? I shouldn't do the audition if I don't want to. I gotta call Jen.

I pull over into a gas station and call her up,

"Hello?Serena?"

"Yeah, I don't think acting is my dream anymore, I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it, there was no audition, I lied because I knew that acting was no longer your dream and you needed to realize that so I made it to where you would realize that."

"But what is my dream?"

"John, duh. I swear, it's like I know you better than you know yourself."

"You probably do. You are an amazing friend, Jen."

"I know, but finish the drive to LA, and get all of your stuff then go back to Oklahoma, I know a realitor, your apartment will be on the market by tomorrow. Come over to my house, tonight after you're done packing and we can have a sleepover."

"Ok. Thank you."

"No prob."
