As soon as Rhett opened up the door and stepped out, he found himself in an incredibly long alleyway. He knew that when the Figure took Link away from him, it probably had kept Link in a room not very far from Rhett. That would make it easier for the Figure to get to each of them in a short amount of time. So... that would mean that the Figure put Link in one of these rooms along this alleyway.

Rhett looked up and down the alleyway; there were so many doors leading to rooms... but which room was Link in? Rhett didn't know where to start. The only thing that he could do was run up and down the alleyway, and call Link's name.

Rhett started trotting. He looked for any dents in any of the doors; he knew that Link probably punched at his door, also trying to escape. "Link!" Nothing. Rhett kept jogging.

   Rhett jogged for about 2 more minutes, and called Link's name again. Still, no reply. He did this about two more times. He had reached the end of the alleyway. Now, he needed to jog back down the alleyway until he got to the other end. Link had to be at the other end... at least Rhett hoped he was. "Link! Link!" he was calling Link's name more consistently, and going even slower so he could check every single door.

                                    * * *

   Link was still laying on the now-black floor of the now-black room the he was in. He was in a deep sleep; he was getting much needed rest.

   He suddenly opened his eyes. He felt the urge to wake up. The urge to stand up and walk over to the door, which was still locked. He stood there for a minute with a hand on the door, wondering what led him to wake up. Just as he was walking back to lay down, he heard something. His name. He heard his name-muffled, because it was so far away-but he heard it. He stayed at the door, and heard his name get louder and louder. Whoever was screaming it was extremely hoarse. Link softly put his ear up to the cold metal of the door. "Link! Link! Are you down here! Are you in one of these rooms? It's me, Rhett!", Link heard. The biggest, most childlike smile crossed his dirty face. Oh my gosh, Link thought, he actually got out. He escaped. Rhett found me.

   "R-Rhett? Rhett!"

                                     * * *

   Rhett hadn't heard any response, and he was at the other end of the alleyway. "Link! Lin-", Rhett was cut off. He heard pounding on the other side of one of the metal doors, and it wasn't far away. Rhett started running. He listened at each door, and eventually, he heard his name being called. "Rhett! In here! In here!", he heard Link call. He got to the door where the sound was loudest, and quietly knocked on it. "Link, you in here?", Rhett asked. "Yes! The door is locked, though. Man, I've missed you so, so much!", Link replied through the door.

   "Door's locked? Not a problem for me. Stand back, Link!", Rhett shouted through the door. Rhett started punching at the door. With each punch, he felt horrible pain in that knuckle that he'd broken from punching the other door that he was once contained by. Link heard Rhett scream in pain. He was trying to punch the door down. He was trying to get to Link. "Don't hurt yourself, Rhett!", Link shouted.

It took about twenty minutes, but Rhett finally punched the door down. It almost hit Link as it was falling to the ground. Link backed up, but as soon as he saw Rhett rubbing his sore knuckles in the doorway, he ran toward him. He embraced Rhett in the biggest hug, and Rhett gladly returned it. "I've missed you, dude!", Rhett said with happiness in his voice. Happiness and love. Something both he and Link had missed, but knew very well. "I love you, brother! Thought you were dead!" Link said with excitement in his voice. "Love you just as much. If you thought I was dead, then I thought that you were dead as twice as much as you thought I was!" Rhett replied. They stopped hugging each other. "We've gotta be quiet. We'll be dead meat if the Figure finds out that you got in here", Link said with fear in his voice. Rhett smiled, and Link crinkled his face in confusion, seeing Rhett's response.
