When the door slammed shut I instantly fell to the floor. I thought I had escaped Alex for good. But I knew for sure this was just the beginning.
"Are you okay?" Colby asked crouching down next to me. I sniffed and looked up to Colby.
"I thought I had escaped him" I whispered tears streaming down my face. "Why does it always have to be me? Why do bad things always happen to me" I asked looking down at my lap.
"The roommates and I will make sure he doesn't get to you" Colby said rubbing my back.
"Try to calm down" Colby said standing up, "do you want a water to help you?" I nodded and he walked towards the kitchen.
"He'll find a way" I whispered, "he always does."
