Unpacking didn't take as long as I thought I would. My mother had encouraged me to pack light, so i wouldn't have to organize as much of stuff. Which I was extremely grateful for.

The house was better than I had imagined. It looked so clean and elegant in a way. Sam and Colby had good taste.

I stopped in my tracks when I reached the stairs. Seeing the steps covered in multiple pieces of bread.

"What the fuck" I chuckled. I stepped around in the places where there wasn't food. There sat Colby at the bottom of the stairs,  focused in on the bread he was placing.

"Colby, why the hell are there bread slices on the stairs" I questioned still attempting to get down the stairs.

"It's for the prank war" he looked up at me smiling.

"Is this what you guys do for fun?" I chuckled. I seen him nod and stand up to help me down the stairs. He grabbed my wrist and helped me jump down.

"Thanks."

"Need any help?" I asked leaning against the wall beside me.

"No, it's actually almost done" Colby picked up the multiple bags of bread lying around.

"Have fun cleaning that up afterwards" I laughed.

I walked into the kitchen and walked to the fridge. First day here and I'm already raiding their food stash.

I grabbed a ripe apple and took a bite of it.

"Those are Aaron's" Colby called out, "be careful."

I shrugged and took another bite before throwing in the trash. He'll never know anyways.

"Guys come here" Colby yelled, "I need to show you something."

A sudden stampede of footsteps were heard from above us. Aaron was the first to be seen at the top of the stairs.

"Colby" he gawked, "why?"

Sam, Elton and Corey had the same reaction as Aaron. Staring stupidly down at Colby.

"You know this isn't a great prank" Elton laughed and stepped down on the bread.

"Shit I didn't think of that" Colby smiled.

Aaron Corey picked up a piece of bread and threw at Elton's face.

"Hah!" Corey exclaimed, "take that uncle Elton."

"Oh Corey your getting it now" Elton laughed picking up multiple pieces of food. He threw it one by one at him.

Suddenly I felt a piece of bread hit my face. I turned to the direction it was thrown and seen Sam smiling crazily. I peeled it off my face and threw it right back at Sam.

The war continued until Aaron started cleaning up the bread.

I sighed and picked up a few pieces myself and laid back to watch them clean.

"Thanks for the huge help Ash" Sam joked.

"Oh you know me, always being a huge help."

It took them longer than expected to clean it all up. By then Ashton had passed out on the couch in the living room.

"Do you think this is the right environment for a teenage girl?" Colby asked Sam. Sam shrugged.

"Mom thought the same thing back home" Sam sighed, "said Ashton was always getting in trouble, hanging with the wrong crowd."

"But shipping her off to a place she's never been with no one to talk to besides the people she's living with seems like a lot" Colby looked to Ashton In pity. She had taken it well so far.

"Just leave it be maybe, if she needs help she'll go to us for help" Sam said. He covered his sister in a blanket that was laying on the chair.

"I'm going to see my girlfriend" Sam said, "Ashton will be awake sometime."

He turned and walked out of the living room. Leaving Colby behind. Colby glanced to Ashton one more time before following Sam out.
