"happy birthday to you~"
jinyoung had been given the freedom card by his company as it was his birthday. the first thought that came to his mind was to head back to his and his girlfriend's love nest, the apartment.
she prepared a cake and hung streamers around the house. it has been about a year since they debuted and about six months since jinyoung last came back. he had returned for christmas and everyone can say, she had the best time of her life.
today was different. she was left in the dark about the plans. she thought she would be celebrating it alone. she had popped the streamers and blew out the candles. it was currently 12:05am and a photo frame with jinyoung's photo sat opposite her on the table.
"happy birthday, baby."
before she got to cutting the cake, the doorbell rang.
"coming!"
she opened the door hastily and backed up too quickly that she fell to the floor after seeing who was at the door.
"it's you. oh my god. it really is." "yes babe. it's me. i'm back."
she immediately got up on her two feet and rushed towards him for a hug. it was bone-crushing and filled with so much love. they had been yearning for each other's warmth ever since jinyoung started his career.
"is that cake for me?" "of course! look! your photo."
this made her slightly upset as she felt like she was so pathetic. looking at other couples celebrate their birthdays made her want to celebrate her boyfriend's too.
"thanks princess."
he dipped down for a passionate and romantic kiss.
"let me light the candles again. now it's your turn to blow it out since you're back."
jinyoung nodded his head and smiled as she seemed so excited. he followed her light footsteps to the dining table as she lit up the candles again.
"make a wish!"
he clasped his hands together, but shook his head slightly.
