it was the day of the finals

it was the day of the finals. she was busy getting ready to leave her little apartment as her feet shuffled to and fro the bathroom. her makeup was close to being used up and she had to dig really hard for her lip gloss in the tube.

she had little source of income, and it would bring difficulty for her daily life if she had used the money earned from her pathetic job in the convenience store to refill and replace her makeup.

at least she wanted to appear presentable at the venue. she knew herself that she already had made up her mind and no matter the results today, she was going to spill her heart out to him, bae jinyoung.

her hands stopped at the doorknob as she turned around, eyes scanning around, confirming that she had brought what she needed.

she searched through her bag once again and finally decided to step out of the house. she had to get there early to snag a good standing position for herself, but she had a pair of binoculars in her bag and contacts in her eyes, just in case some fangirls were crazy enough to already be making a line outside the venue.

"i'll make sure i get to talk to him."

various thoughts flashed through her mind as she stared outside the taxi window.

what if he makes his debut?

will i still be able to tell him everything?

what if he doesn't make his debut?

will he stop being an idol?

enough of those thoughts. she paid and got out from the taxi once she was woken up from her thoughts by the driver.

"thank god not a lot of people are here yet."

she joined a small line and realised that majority of them actually came for him. the one and only bae jinyoung.

will they all come for me if i was in a relationship with him?

can i deal with all these people?

she can't help but overthink things. but nonetheless, she had looked forward to today, and mentally prayed for him to do his best on stage.

finally, the audience had a spot, standing or sitting, and the performance can officially begin. she was situated right in the corner of the stage where an extension was built. amazing view indeed.

during all the performances, she had kept an eye on jinyoung, sight never leaving him at all. of course, those performances without him in it was an exception. she even wondered if he spotted her in the audience.

finally, it was results time and she prayed again and again for him to get a spot in the final group, wanna one.

the first name being called was for the tenth place. she clasped her hands together as her banner hung on her right shoulder.

please. please. please.

"bae jinyoung! congratulations."

she could sense his happiness all the way from down here. he literally could fly up into the sky at any moment. tears pricked at her eyes and threatened to fall. she brought her hands to her face, attempting to wipe off her tears.

"i want to thank a special someone for being my pillar during tough times. even if she wasn't physically there, i can recharge and stand up on my two feet again with just a thought of her. i know you're in the audience here somewhere, and i just want you to know, you mean the world to me."

she cried even more at his speech, and totally lost her hearing as he continued on to thank his parents and fans as she thought about what he said again and again.

as everything came to an end and daniel was announced as the first place, she hurried her way to the preparation rooms, attempting to find jinyoung's.

"hi, miss. are you a family member of any of the contestants? if not, you can't enter."
"oh. um."
"she's with me."

she felt fingers wrapped around her wrist as the boy dragged her to jinyoung's room.

"he's inside, but you may want to go in a little bit later. the cameras are rolling. hold on, i have a better idea."

she was still shocked to the core that the boy who had just talked to her and held her wrist was none other than kang daniel.

she found it hard to reply or even ask why he was doing this. how stunning can a man be?

"stay here. i'll bring him to you. and if you're wondering what's happening, jinyoung showed me a photo of you before. well it was his lockscreen and wallpaper but the main point is, i know what's going on between you two. he told me everything. so just wait here."

she could only manage a nod as she was taken aback by the sudden bombardment of information by a gorgeous boy.

she waited and waited, until she heard footsteps.

"jinyoung?"

it came out barely a whisper but it brought him to her. all he did was give her a tight bear hug as tears flowed freely from his eyes.

"i made it. i really did. victory is mine. i'm so happy."
"i'm so happy for you too, jinyoung-ah. i wanted to tell you this for the longest time. i love you too."
"is that your answer to my question?"
"yes baejin. i love you. so much."
"i love you too girlfriend and future wifey."

she blushed scarlet and tightened her hold around jinyoung's waist. that earned a peck on her forehead as they continued hugging.

they found happiness and bliss within each other, and decided to open up their hearts so they could spend a lifetime together.
