a light blue post-it note on the dining table caught my attention. it was stuck onto a fishbowl with a candy in it.
the note read, "every candy in here means a night spent in your house. i will repay you one day, when i'm capable enough, no matter in terms of cash. i hope you are still willing to allow me to continue staying here. when i'm back, feel free to chase me out if you're uncomfortable. if not, i'll continue depositing candy into this fishbowl. thank you, my benefactor."
i stifled a chuckle as i realised how adorable she is. how can i bear to send her away? wait, what?
i shook my head to clear out my crazy thoughts and decided to tuck the candy into my mouth. the lemon flavour filled my mouth and i felt satisfied. i actually don't need her to repay me. she's actually company in this lonely house too.
