Chapter 24- Safe and Sound

Zoey's POV

I was sitting under a tree. Miranda and I's tree. It was just like old times. Before anything had happened, but my precious angel was still dying.

"Hey, Zoey," she asked me.

"Yes, sweetheart?"

"How do you know when you fall in love?"

"I think you'll just know. Someone or something will tell you. You can't live without them, there will be a sign. I think someone that knows what's right for you, will give you a sign, and you'll know it's right, meant to be."

"Go for him."

"What?"

"Even when I'm gone, don't ever give up. We both know he's right for you. Accept your feelings, let me be happy by knowing you're doing what's right."

"Sweetheart, why are saying this?"

I couldn't figure out what she meant, even though I know exactly what she means. I couldn't understand her.

"He'll know you're prefect for eachother, just listen to me."

"Ok, I'll try."

"I'm always here. Just call for me."

"I miss you, Miranda."

"I'm always right by your side. There's no need to miss me. Now go give him a chance."

I suddenly woke up, and I saw something that changed my mind. My promise ring. Ross saying he loved me, and no one will ever be able to replace me, that memory came rushing back. I love him. And always will.

Ross's POV

I saw Emily. She was so peaceful, under an old oak tree. It was the only tree around, there was a river, and around us was a circle of trees, then the one oak tree. As I approached her, I was stopped. There was a sweet little girl, but it wasn't Violet. 

"Not her," the little girl said.

"Who are you," I asked.

"Emily's not right for you. Zoey, is perfect for you. You two are meant to be."

"Zoey has moved on."

"No, she hasn't. And you haven't either. Take a closer look at Emily, who do you see?"

I took a closer look.

"Zoey."

"You made a promise that no one will ever be able to replace her. And she made a promise, that she still has kept, to love you always. Keep you promise."

"I will."

She started walking away.

"Wait, who are you?"

She turned around slowly. I suddenly reconnized her, even though I had never seen her.

"Miranda."

Then I woke up, I knew what I had to do.

Wow, that was short. Maybe one more chapter tonight, hopefully.
